These songs also appeared on the LP but the 45 is far rarer and, until recently, unknown. Pedrito Ramirez y Su Combo - Micaela b/w Por Tenerte on Popo, NM, $40 I have never been able to track down where this group was from but it's a great 60s boogaloo tune with Spanish vocals. I grade on a scale of NM, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- (I will rarely list a record less than VG unless its scarcity warrants it). I wonder if the rumour about the "hit" and thousands of copies was someone mixing up her two 45s on Loadstone, which are indeed very common here in the Bay Area. There were thousands of those made and there's such a glut of those around that I don't even bother to buy them anymore for even a dollar. The music on those isn't horrible but doesn't hold a candle to her Reynolds 45 (which is on a purple label in reference to Martin's comment). Full disclosure: I do have a copy of the Reynolds 45 on ebay right now. And yes, turning these up nowadays is no easy task. The days of walking into a warehouse and picking up 30 or 50 copies of something are pretty much over. Boy I wish I was around in those days!

I'll skip the hype job, since this record's reputation is strong enough without it. Sy Hightower - I Know You're Leaving Me b/w Wild Love on Carmen Condition is NM-. It visually appears NM, however there is a light, non-recurring tick about 30 seconds or so into the song. I can't imagine it would really bother anyone but given the value I have to mention it. I am asking £625 ($1,240) plus shipping PM me or email me at kidinquisitive at gmail dot com if interested. Soundclips available upon request.
