Rare Northern/sweet/funk. Lots Of Bay Area 45's
So many great records on this month's list! Tons of rare soul from right here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I can say without a doubt that this is the deepest selection of 45's I've offered yet. Take some time to check these out, virtually all records listed have MP3 soundclips (if anyone has trouble playing them don't hesitate to contact me and I'll figure out the problem). Also, I will be glad to email label photos of any 45s that aren't pictured here (the message board limits how many photos can be posted). See the bottom of the listing for info on grading, shipping, payment, etc. The Apollos/Waymond Hall - Soul Funk-Tion b/w What Will Tomorrow Bring, OFFERS Jamal 1005, vinyl looks VG with many light storage marks from being outside a sleeve. Plays more like VG++ with just some slight background noise on the intro to the Waymond Hall side. Apollos side plays pretty much perfect. Labels have writing and some discoloration. Absolutely top-notch funk 45 out of Stockton, CA that surprisingly (given the high quality of the music) seems to be virtually unknown . The Apollos side is a killer uptempo instro with a nasty flute solo and horn section while the flip adds an incredible and soulful vocal by Hall overtop a slightly more downtempo version of the same basic song. Not positive but I think this may be the same group that did the song "Peace Still Is With Us". Serious offers only please. You need to hear this: https://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...5B21E930158255A https://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...CC068797F4F03FC The Milestones - The Joker b/w Juicie Brucie, $250 Andre 706, VG+ (plays better). Nice copy of this raucous northern instro. Listen: https://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...FA12C0309968577 Emulations - These Are The Things b/w Your Good Thing Emulate 101, VG+ (light marks, plays nicely with slight surface noise in spots), $125 Without a doubt one of the crown jewels of Bay Area sweet soul. The little-heard flip is a cool funky group soul tune. Listen: https://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...19EF62415CE8093 Sisters From The Ghetto - What Made You Change Your Time b/w Somebody Emulate 102, VG+ (fair amount of light marks that don't really affect play), $75 Rare Bay Area female group soul on the awesome Emulate label. Record plays surprisingly well), labels have old owner's name written several times) Another killer Bay Area sweet soul record with a good northern-style flip. These records are ending in less than 3 hours. By the way, I verified through the matrix number that the Popcorn Wylie is in fact the original pressing. 45 Auction List

Northern/crossover/funk Auction
45 Auction List I'm running my first 45 auction in a long while right now. 20 pieces - some local funk records, some northern soul classics, some great 70's soul obscurities (there's also one psych 45 thrown in for good measure). About two days to go on these puppies. If you like funk or northern soul or 70's modern soul then check the link out. Many of the listings also have audio clips.

Chucky Thurmon
Chucky Thurmon - Turn It Over b/w Tickets For Doomsday Thurmoe Blast TBM-697 Turn It Over is NM, Tickets For Doomsday is a strong VG++ with one mark that barely affects play. The labels are clean with no markings. If you don't already know it, this is one of the rarest Bay Area funk 45s (actually, one of the rarest funk 45s period). I'm told you can count all the known copies on one hand. It was hard for me to determine how much to ask for this since I have it on reliable authority that a copy has never come up for sale before (well, at least not since it's become a known record). So what I am going to do is take offers instead. I assume I will get some good offers but I reserve the right not to sell it if the offers are weak. I will accept offers for one full week, to give anyone who may be interested a chance to see the listing. I will email soundfiles of the actual record to any interested parties. As for shipping, a tracking number will be a must, which will mean shipping Global Express Mail if sold outside the U.S. (where I am located). That costs about $20. Shipping within the U.S. will be fully insured and tracked. Please direct any questions or offers to my email address, kidinquisitive at gmail dot com. I would prefer not to receive PM's as message boards are prone to technical problems. Reputation: Please check my ebay feedback under the user ID "kidinquisitive" 970 positive feedbacks (and counting) and zero negatives. I can also provide references from board members if needed.
