    Can any body tell me the value of Falcons feat. Wilson Pickett "Billy The Kid" on a UK London please (not rel. in the US) ?

    Also I need to know which is the rarer out of the two Sonny Fishback rel. on Outasite. I always had thought the Cameo-Parkway Publ. rel. was the rarer of the two but the guides seem to change from year to year (2003 one being rarer 2005 the other one :wacko: ) ?

    The Latin American gangs of Los Angeles used a lot of harmony soul as the soundtrack for their lifestyle of hanging out in their modified vintage cars which you may have seen bouncing along the road in TV shows and films...

    Watched a documentary on telly last night about california gangs and one called the NLR = Nazi Low Riders...wonder if they are lsitening to the same (good) music. I doubt it somehow as the yhave strong relations with the AB..

    Thanks god I am not...not familiar with UK releases hence my question. But looking at Pookie Hudson of course that shoudl have rang the alarm bell. But was too "shocked" to see the Lou Pride on British to look any further..

    Hi Miff, don`get me wrong please...yours looks good. But if the one I am on about is a windows paint work as well they must have done an extremely good job. Having said so on closer inspection I just noticed the label credits Groovesville music which of course would be right for Stax # 130 JJ Barnes but not for a Lou Pride 45...so maybe indeed its a paint job and they forgot to replace Groovesville with Suemi ! Theres always sth..

    Think some people invoveld in this thread do ride on even higher horses...

    I do what I said I will do. But defo not because you or anybodyelse is saying so but only because I decided to do so.

    Its still definitely not my duty to do so as it wasn`t my record, I did not sell it, I did not receive the money for it bla bla bla...furthermore I trust my eyes and I trust my friend so I know there are only two explanations, one being that Simon is not able to understand what makes an original copy or -what is more likeley- wanted to exchange a boot for an original the cheap way. Thats my opinion.

    I will end up paying 50 UKP outa my pocket for a deal two other parties have done between them. And thats all really that was left for me to say now. I would appreciate if you would leave it at that.

    However I did say that those who know you will have made up their minds and those you've bought off on SS will also know they've had problem-free transactions with you so some suspicion can only fall on Marc which isn't good for him if he continues to sell 45s on here.

    Rod, in all honesty but how can you know that all former transactions with Simon where problem-free ? You have been his advocate all the time then ? Furthermore why do you only give this bonus credit to him and not me also ? I guess there must be over a hundered+ transactions I did via Soul Source without ever having a problem. Interesting really. Furthermore there were about 15 people ordering from this list, Simon the only one who was complaining.

    However and quoting your last sentence, I think you and Simon did your best already to destroy my reputation. Well done guys you can be seriously proud of yourselves. Its a joke really when considering I was only posting this fucking sales thread up for a friend.

    So my deepest thanks to you guys. And to quote what seems to be Mr. Simon Penfolds most favourite sentence "What Goes Around will come around"..thats for sure.

    So send me this fucking 45 then and I will refund you Simon, I hope you are satisfied now. Have a drink on my behalf then with your new found fortune of 50 UKP and keep on enjoying the original copy which you will of course be keeping ? I know who I will avoid in upcoming Sales. So much for sure.

    Right thanks Marc....I sent you and Ralf an email with what I thought was the address on the package, no one ever replied to me to confirm this was the address... I had no reply... Why could you not just send the address in the email??

    thats a VERY good question...I don´t think I will be able to answer it though.

    I have a repro record that you sent me as an original....that the record you sent me was the repro as you would have seen that it has the 'staggered small ARCHER stamp on it...

    Yet again.....How can I be in the wrong for receiving a record in that time scale?? What am I supposed to do about the 'speedy' time it took to be delivered??

    Again: I have asked at my post office and there is no way you can receive a parcel any place outside Germany that was posted on an afternoon just 48hrs ago..but again as the seller will start an investigation via the German post we will be able to proove this as yet another lie soon by having the information when you actually got this package delivered.

    Perhaps you do not have Manship's latest book with the definition of the original/repro etc? Well as I say I accept that but take John Manship's facts...

    I myself have Manships # 5 as well, I myself saw the copy that was send to you. It is the original with the big not staggered ARCHER stamp. As stated over and over again by now.

    Its quite easily to detect what you are trying to achieve by repeating false statements over and over again. But let me just once more state loud and clear:

    You were never delivered a bootleg at all. You got confimred an original, you paid for an original, you got delieverd an original. You claimed before you got the original delivered to have recieved a bootleg. Thats the situation and that is the situation in which I for sure will not take any responsibilty.

    I won`t ask you now to solve this with the seller directly as I tried so since you started and obviously failed. So you go on but rest assured I won`t pay this thread no more attention. Have a great weekend.

    Well no doubt we'll now get Simon's side but your account needs an answer especially the 2 day delivery. That does appear unfeasibly fast for Germany to here unless anyone knows different.

    Well exactly. Thats why I said that theres no chance on earth the buyer already had received the record when he actually started saying the record is a bootleg! Further proof for that is that he did not have the sellers adress which he would have had would he actually have had received the package (..).

    However you admit to having and grading the 45 so it's not quite the same as Joe Dunlop or Raving Mad who put their own address on their ads and no doubt do their own grading etc. You kinda got yourself involved there.

    Wrong. I did not "admit to having" the records..most of them were mint anyway so there was no need for me to grade them. But as the seller had lost contact with the "scene" since over ten years I helped him pricing the 45s.

    The seller did not want to have his contact details in the ad. As mine were not given and every potential buyer who pm´ed me was given the sellers email and paypal contact details in private it is indeed very much the same as Joe Dunlop or Raving Mad who put their own address on their ads!

    Of course I did get myself inovolved here...as a friend who helped a mate who wanted to sell some Soul 45s by putting his ad on here. Maybe you have found yourself in an equal position sometime.

    Ah well, so here we go again...

    To save all fellow soul source members the time and effort

    heres Simons first thread and attempt...

    So all I have to say (now in public as I have done so several times before via private email communiction) is:

    1. Those were not my records, I posted the whole sale for a friend who ain`t a member on here

    2. I checked all records before and the Eddie Parker 45 was a mint ORIGINAL (see link above) with the big ARCHER stamp in the run out groove.

    Simon complained about said record being the bootleg only two days after the record was posted here in Berlin Germany (on the afternoon by the way..). There is no way at all he could actually already have had received the record when he complained about it being a bootleg.

    When Ralf (the seller) immediately asked him to resend the 45 for a refund Simon kept on asking for an adress to "return" the 45 to...which "smelled" to Ralf in a way because if Simon already would have had received the parcel and the 45 he would have not to ask for an adress but only would have to read what senders adress was given on the envelope, would he not ?

    "Funnily" enough a week later all of a sudden Simon said he had Ralfs adress now and asked for a confirmation of this adress via email.

    Well, I guess he must have had received and read the parcel by now!

    So as I am not blind and know what kind of record I was holding and grading when I had said copy in my hands and as I am also not yet stupid enough to believe Simons story work I sadly have to think of a real smelly fraud here. Buying an original and trying to return a boot. Thanks god Simon opened the case already two days after payment had been send and the 45 had gone off as that only just goes to proove he actually never had the bought 45 when he started to claim its a boot!

    The seller informed me that Simon also already had started a paypal claim which was turned down by paypal for obvious reasons. I guess that this is the reason for this open public attempt against me now on here ?

    I have been trading and selling records ever since I started collecting which is now already 25 years ago and I never ever sold a boot (knowingly) off as an original myself. Furthermore any missunderstanding or problem was solved more or less easy.

    Furthermore these reocrds being put up for sale did not belong to me. So having stated that the record was an original anyway I refuse to be responsible for any missunderstandings or controversials between the seller and the buyer. I asked Simon several times to keep me out of it at all (as i got CC in every singel email the two were sending out) and to try to solve this directly with the seller.

    I doubt that any of the kind people who for example put up the sales of ravingmadrecords or Joe Dunlop (just to name two who are not members onhere and therefore their sales get listed by other third parties) would take responsibility for each and every sale which finalises thru any of these sales threads.

    Ray Pollard "The Drifter"

    I will always associate this tune with my good old mate Stefan who passed away already 10 years ago now and defo much much too soon. He wanted me to play his favourite three 45s at his funeral. So I had them on a tape and was sitting with that tape and a recorder behind the organ while the pastor was doing the ceremony and played his three tunes in the chapel just the way he wanted it.

    The last last song was the "Drifter"and it kept on playing while the cuffin was brought out to get buried. RIP Stefan my old mate.
