  2. Didn't know whether to put this in freebasing, it does have some soul content...see if you remember this, I just saw it for the first time in 2 years /index.p...ic=4969&hl=

Only one Mecca, right from the time when Levine started making his own records...
  4. This is great, posted up on here before, from around 1958 but a wonderful R&B record apart from the jazzy bit in the middle, anyway you could do worse than spend a fiver on this one - the B side I mean "You could never be mine" https://cgi.ebay.com/SOUL-45-Rpm-Baby-Washi...1QQcmdZViewItem
  5. Not many people seem to go to the media section nowadays so I thought I'd link it here...FANTASTIC CLIP /index.php?showtopic=41333
  6. Am I good to you lot or what?
  7. This is what you get when you let a West Bromwich Albion fan do graphic design
  8. It could actually be a cat. Or a rabbit. But if you can contain yourself for 2 minutes I will come up with the goods.

You should be able to find a Jimmy Conwell for £75 easy enough...there was one on ebay last week...the highest one has ever sold for on ebay is $123.
  10. Yeah I know about that mate, in fact they say that opera recordings were bootlegged in the early part of the 20th century and swapped between private collectors
  11. I picked this up in a collection from a guy who used to DJ at the Chateau Impney in the late 60's and early 70's. Basically it's Earl van Dyke - 6 by 6 on both sides. It's a UK press with matrix number HT 1206. Quality is average by todays standards and sounds like it's been recorded off decks...but what a curious record. I was wondering if this would predate the Soul Sounds releases? Anyone come across this one before? Rather pointless posting up a scan of a white label but I will anyway, the other side features a very poor drawing of a mouse
  12. I don't know if I'm thinking of another Volcanos but I swear I bought a demo of this off Ian Clark in December, off ebay...I'll check. Um, it was A Ladies Man...
  13. I thought I had one of these about 4 weeks back - £25 or so???
  14. ????
  15. No not in the slightest, Mr Paranoid. Just thought they might spark a bit of debate.
  16. Did I win them
  17. Both fakes I'm afraid but it just proves how easy they are to do - I made those starting from a blank page, using MS Publisher - on the 'Frankford Wayne' one the type face is almost identical, the Bell Sound was harder to do, but the number of people who've admired the Monique acetate is quite considerable.
  18. Let me know when you go on your holidays will you I'll house sit for you Some fantastic posts mate.
  19. I won 29 records on Ebay this weekend - that was 75% of all the records I bid on. 29!!!! Inlcuded a Jimmy Ruffin issue on Miracle for around £40 - basically, what's going on, why are the records so easy to pick up? Is it because the collecting scene is dying? because people still have no money after Christmas? Maybe the quality of items on Ebay is just poor at the moment? Are people charging too much? I dunno, but something peculiar is definitely happening.
  20. I remember hearing this at the time and thinking it was called - I know this sounds ridiculous but I was only 9 - "black feeling in motion"
  21. White demo of The Adorables must be rare...is there one?
  22. Never ever seen this. Fabulous.
