  1. Sorry if I stae the obvious, but if you right click 'em and say select properties, it tell you the file format. The one I wanted was the Fidels - Try a little harder - which is a real audio media file which I can't convert, and would be grateful of help changing this format to MP3. Pete-S pls ?

    Thanks

    Dave.

Yeah ok mate I'll sort that out for you

  2. Pete I've got the converter, but do you know how to get sounds from say Soul Club into a .rm format.  If I try at the moment that just have the 'e' icon which is no use to man nor beast.

I thought the soul club stuff was already rm's Ian - if not, what are they, any idea?

  3. P.S. I also spent ages loading Winamp and other plugins, so that I could change files from Real Audio to MP3 format to burn 'em onto discs for the car, grrrrr.

I'll send you some audio progs if you want - ra to mp3, mp3 to wav, editing stuff etc (or tell you where to get them)

  4. What's about the Tan Geers "LMH&SBF"...? Maybe a bit overplayed, but still capable of sending a shiver down my spine every time I hear it...

Despite having heard this endless times and owning several copies, I still couldn't hum the tune to you, that's how forgettable I find this track...other side is poor as well

  5. Coming from a modern perspective I would say The Constellations - Don't Know About You is very widely liked - and possibly Darrell Banks - Open The Door. Leaving aside the fact you may be bored of it !! One of the first northern I bought.

No, never bored of Open The Door To Your Heart.

Constellations is very average though

Think somebody said, we'll never all be united on any one record :-) What about Mull of Kintyre? Nice mid-tempo sort of sound, with a classic bag-pipe instrumental break, ideal for sword dancing.

When I used to work in an office there were about 10 of us in there and we all liked different sorts of music, like me with soul and reggae, someone was into heavy metal, couple of old dears into middle of the road music and so on, anyway we always used to take it in turns playing compilation tapes and we only ever agreed on one single record that all of us liked......

cruel to be kind by Nick Lowe

  7. Bobby Hutton - Come see what's left of me

I thought about this one Pete, first one that sprang to my mind.

What about Al Kent-The way you've been acting lately? Not my favourite i must admit but i like it and most people i know "like it".
