  1. My Roscoe Robinson is on Gerri, the local label. It also came out on Wand. I think they both sound the same. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

    link

There's definitely two versions, one of them is the usual version, the other on the intro has the first few bars repeated...first time I heard the difference was on a compilation LP so can't tell you if it's on a 45

  2. What About 'The Paradox - Ring The Changes'

I Think it Was British Played By Rob Smith Early 80's

    link

It's on UK Polydor. I used to have a vocal of that, Ring The Changes by (bollocks I forgot who it was) but it was on black UK RCA, one of the last releases before it changed to the yellow label.

seems a cheap shot, this is a soul site so rightly paid a mark of respect, the pop world with its many radio shows/ web sites rightly paid its own appropriate tributes to John Peel contribution to that scene.

    Danny D

    link

Why is it a cheap shot, it's my opinion, nobody says you have to agree with me, I wasn't a great fan of DG. Anyway you seem to spend an awful long time picking holes in stuff I say, you got f*** all better to do?

  5. Going back to the first post of this thread - that is definitely from the last night at Wigan. The whole tape is as mad as that. Bought a tear to my eye listening to that again :)

Hi Folks and a very happy new year to you all

Just a quick list to get rid of old stock, reduced loads of these, can't go any lower so have a look see if you can find some bargains. Also a few new things added.

If anyone spots anything on here that they think they have ordered, best let me know as I haven't received payment.

Got some great stuff coming up in the next few weeks so hopefully I'll be able to continue doing the lists weekly.

Finally, today I start using the new credit card machine so bear with me if I'm a little slow with it ok!

    Cheers

    Pete

  7. Yes there are, Someone I've DJ'ed with has one, but for the life of me I can't remember who. It's someone in the Midlands though.

    link

Do you know if it's white Dave or gold with promotional copy on it???

Just that Brownie only values the promo at £40 and I got to thinking I'd never seen one (after someone offered me one)

  8. I only use John's book as reference it's great for label numbers and flip sides when net trawling ... as for Pete!.... I think apart from John Powney he is the best and most honest pricer of records around! And his grading is impecable err!  impeckable I mean inpeccable ...bollox! I mean  "dam bloody good"  :)

Gee thanks Mr Wiggles whoever you are. I've actually lowered my prices last 3 months. And I'm still reducing all the non sold stuff each week - e.g. the lydia marcelle started off at 150, it's 75 this week. Shame, great record that...
