Fantasy Northern Soul.... pick your venue and DJs to receive points for new plays, reactivated oldies, attendance numbers etc....

Yellow card for emptying the dancefloor, red card for spilling pint in your record box....

  2. Hi all, Bloody Gareth here....looking forward to another season of FPL.....quite a few changes to the scoring this time round, but once again it appears to be a choice of picking Haaland OR Salah at the start. Or maybe neither ??? Good luck all, i'm hoping for a challenge, as always

What's up Gareth? are you panicking because you're 5th after two weeks? 🤣

Nerves of steel, me.....i'll be panicking if i'm still 5th after 32 weeks, I have a reputation to upkeep...🤪

Very bad first squad pick for me with players being loaned out elsewhere, injured or dropped. Haaland is just about keeping me in it. Too early for a wildcard and I don't think I can anyway this season.

Never too early to wildcard....if it needs it....i'm planning to after this GW. Just want one more week of selections and the transfer window over

I'm in and looking to improve on mid table position last time around. However gone without Haaland or Salah. Inspired or idiotic? Time will tell

    Screenshot 2024-08-13 194822.png

I've toyed with having both Haaland and Salah, and just one ??? Still undecided.....Your's looks quite balanced, but Walker, Foden & Watkins are all slight doubts for GW1......great picks but maybe not match fit ??

  6. There's some quite big changes to the rules this time round, may benefit some of the more casual players. Able to carry over up to 5 transfers, previously just the two, and also able to carry those over after playing any chips.

Plus a new chip available in January, currently a mystery what it will be ???

Haaland very expensive this time round, can you do without him ???

Bring it on, and good luck to all

A whopping 3rd place for me. The first time ever. I had a great run in the last two months, a bit like Palace.

Gareth winning it again is getting a bit boring 😀

Sorry Dave, i'll try and be a bit rubbish this time....I really would like to see someone give me a run for my money this season...

As of this morning, I'm in 4th place and you're in 13th Gareth which gave me a smile, until I saw you're saving your players for today and tomorrow.😬

Not a great start for me this season.....long way to go though, plenty of time for me to drop even further behind....

Any interest here in these 3 Vocalion demo's, i'm a bit out my comfort zone with these, so hoping that someone can help out with prices. Otherwise open to offers here, before I stick em up on Ebay.

Each is a strong VG+ and play fine, clean labels aside from a 3 digit number stamped on each side (apart from flip of Popsicles), all are in a new white sleeve.

Any offer I accept would include UK p&p, overseas can be arranged for cost....

Planning on listing on Ebay tomorrow, so i'll give it til then to see if there is any interest.

    Cheers   Gareth

After a copy of Lorraine Johnson - If You Want To Be More Of A Woman on Atlantic issue, vinyl copy much preferred. Unsure on going rate, but I would be more than happy if someone were to offer up a copy at the price sold for on Discogs last year, the sum of £1.41....but failing that, if anyone has a spare or a copy they are happy to let go. Doesn't have to be Mint, a nice playing copy would be fine....message me if you can help, thanks in advance, Girth

  14. Its unlikely the Pasadenas knew of the Mark C. version at the time it borrows far too much from the Jackson Sisters, great credits on the original Prophecy release Gene Page, Ronnie Walker & Bobby Taylor classic piece of ghetto funk/rare groove that made it into the mainstream 1973 vintage

Used to play the Jackson Sisters along side the Sisters Love, Give Me Your Love....again from 73 I think. Sounded so good together, and a guaranteed full floor....

  15. I beg to differ.

I always get the buyer to claim because he can prove what he paid, whereas

I cant, for records I bought donkeys years ago.

Its always worked for me in the past.

Obviously the buyer has to co-operate.

I have wondered how it works if you can prove what you paid for it, and it was a greater amount than the sale price. I did have a conversation with a guy who deals in old digital watches, and he was having this problem. It was around the time that the PO started tightening up their claim system and we were discussing doing exactly as you say, having the buyer claim, because they had proof of purchase and more likely the greater amount. He was in the process of trying to claim for a watch he had sold for £750, but had paid over a grand, a year or so previous - and he had the bill.  I haven't seen him since, and never found out the outcome, but the PO had refused to pay the greater amount, and he was arguing the toss.
