  1. Hello Alan, I know where your coming from on the gutted front, get a load of this. I had SEVEN copies of Timi Yuro, "It'll never..." in my U.K. collection. I held onto them as i knew one day it would take off. When it hit the £200 mark i thought it couldn't go any higher, surely. So i unloaded them. I wont say where, because the 2 people that had them look on here. Only problem was, i thought i'd kept one for my self, but got confused & let it go All due respect to Tim, but i honestly dont know how a dealer in U.S. records can be an authority on U.K., do you?? Manship's been handling the stuff for donkeys. I used to love it when Tim would sell U.K, as i would get some brilliant bargains, so i'm in no way knocking the guy. Like you say, it will be interesting. Regards, pottsy
  2. https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/ I've just heard he's had to go back to the drawing board, forgot to include the monkeeys
  3. I must admit i've never been one for price guides, probably due to the fact that i sell mainly on ebay, with a 99p kick off price & no reserve. I tend to deal along the lines where by if i sell a record, let's say on ebay, & it makes fifty quid, that's the value on that day at that minute. So if i was to look in a guide & it say's the value of that particular record is forty or sixty quid, how does that help me? So, when i was given a present this morning, namely one Manship U.K. price guide, my initial responce was . But after it sat on the corner of my desk for an hour or so i started to flick through the pages. Well i must say, i'm impressed, it's actually very interesting. There's loads of info on how the different labels came to be, lots of pictures of the 45's plus e.p.'s, full price listing, 'A' sides, 'B' sides, different label configurations, etc. etc. Credit where it's due, this is a good book pottsy.

i think we can now get a gist of what Tommy was really thinking whilst listing it..
  5. I think that Irma & the larks on Priority was a bargain at £51
  6. Quick, grab a bargain!!
  7. Yep, he seem's to know a bargain when he spots it mark
  8. sorry craig sorry mike just thought craig & me had something in common
  9. I know Dave i left my primers in that sleeve, & now it's gone is no avatar a safe place anymore? I've got my suspicions though, because there's some ice cream left on the sleeve
  10. A match made in heaven don't you think Craig?
  11. Oh. no i didn't have any. It was just when you said about that lovely smell, i thought some of the records must have been in the old green sleeves, cause they smell real nice. I must say i love that record in your avatar Craig, good choice mate
  12. Some ending tomorrow. That Houston Outlaws will be a snip if it stays at .99p
  13. Craig i think you & me may have something in common..were any in green sleeves?
  14. Yep, thats the one. Bet this turns out to be that same twat as last time, & yet again ebay will sweep it under the carpet & pretend it's not happening.
  15. Yeh, funny the things that make you sell a record. One i've had in the past is "oh, that's levines old copy"
  16. Girf what on earth (sorry) is that in your avatar picture. looks like an oven ready chicken sitting on a potty?
  17. I'd forgot about that, whenever you were d.j'ing & you used to play it, you would do some disgusting hand gesture when it got to that bit
  18. I think you'd struggle to unload it at £250 now days, i think people are bored with it now. Not that rare either. Try it at £175, & then the ace spectrum brigade may have a go at it.
  19. That Yvonne Vernee is the one that closed on 13th October that was sold by darkhorsesmoke, ebay number :- 4775477115
  20. John Browne did indeed own this record, he then sold it to me. I kept it for a while, then i sold it onto another collector, but it's not for me to say who that was, so dont ask. I believe he still has it. As always, with these very rare records, there is someone that will become a bit jealous & start a rumour that it's a boot, or they've seen a box full of them, they know someone that knows someone who's granny owns one, & so on. The copy that i had was genuine, no if's, no but's. And yes it is a different take to those white label ones. pottsy
  21. Tut...all my sales are bargains, be funny if you win it for that Pete, may be tempted to give you a profit on it my self
  22. I think the IRMA & THE LARKS - WITHOUT YOU BABY - PRIORITY is safe at 99p.
