Really enjoyed the event and well done to Scotty and Wigan Brian for making it all happen. I haven't been to this venue before but I thought it ticked all the boxes with a good bar and helpful staff, good sized dancefloor and sound system. Really enjoyed the music choices of Scotty and Wigan Brian, they kept the dance floor busy. It was good to meet up with some old friends and to talk to alot of people I had never met before, all really friendly and all seemed to enjoy the event. It was a privilege to spin a few tunes as always. I would definately recommend the soul night if you have never been before. Keep up the great work and thanks.

Great Night as always with some top tunes from Chris Thorley, Danny North, Mark Davis, Mischief and the Special Guest Pete Lyster. If you haven't been to this event I recommend it as you will hear a great cross section of Soul Music through the years. Covering all the genres we love from Northern & 7t's Soul, R&B. Latin etc. It was well attended and it was great to meet up with so many friends. Great sound system and dancefloor, with really helpful people at the bar. Keep up the great work as this night ticks all the boxes! Many thanks from Matt.

Many thanks for inviting me to spin some tunes, I really enjoyed the evening from start to finish. It was great to meet up with old friends and new and it brought me back to the many great nights we used to have at the Bournemouth University. I liked what Dave, Stuart & Steve are trying to do at the club, by playing underplayed tunes with some oldies also. Poole has always been a great area for soul and the knowledge of the soul fraternity is very high. I have been educated over the years with the quality dj's in the area. I really enjoyed the choices on Saturday made by Dave, Stuart and Steve. I will try to get down again soon with my dancing shoes on, as it was great to meet up with so many good friends- thanks again and go to the top of the class! from Matt.

A quality afternoon of soul as always. It was great to meet up with everyone, the Dj's did us proud with records that kept the dancefloor busy throughout the day. Always a really friendly atmosphere and the residents have some great tunes, also to top it off the superb Jon Drake and his wonderful box of tunes, well done to you all for making it a day to remember! If you haven't been before try to get to this event - a great way of dancing your Sunday Roast off! - many thanks!

I really enjoyed the night at the Glastonbury Soul Club. Peter, Paul, Liz and Julie, have a great club here and if you haven't been before, I would recommend it. The sound System and venue is really good and the music played by Peter, Paul and the guest Mr Paul Fradley (Fradders) was very varied and the dancefllor was kept busy. These guys have a great knowledge and it was a privelige to hear their sets. I heard a number of tunes I hadn't heard before that were very good alongside the tried and trusted. With all this the bar prices were reasonable and the bar staff very helpful - It was great to meet up with old friends and new - keep up the great work and I will hope to get to more great nights in this wonderful part of England. Thankyou all.

A great event as always, well organised by Frank, Rico, Gilly and Rebecca. Top music throughout in both rooms with something for everyone. The sound system was top draw and well done to Glynn & Lorrie for making the dancefloor even better. The bar staff are always really friendly and efficient, didn't have to wait at the bar as it was really well run with also some nice food on offer. If you haven't ever been, please give it a go as you will not be disappointed- thanks to everyone who made it a night to remember!

Well done Pauline and the team for a wonderful weekender in a beautiful part of the country. If you haven't been yet I recommend it with a great selection of music from all the dj's. All for a good charity- the weekend is made better with the venues being top class - on the Friday in the hotel with a Motown evening and on the Saturday in the main hall in Saundersfoot. Many thanks and hope to see you all again soon. -
A wonderful night and so well attended by people who travelled great distances to be there. It was great to see old friends and new and so well organised by Tim and Katie. If you haven't been before the venue is spaceous with a large carpark (however you must put your vehicle registration in at the bar), also a reasonably priced bar with very helpful bar staff. It has a great dancefloor and Tim and Katie are always investing in the sound system that is always improving. Pete and Cathy Lyster were the guests and Pete played a wonderful set of records that I can only dream of ever owning or finding! He has one of the finest collections in the country and to hear these records was a real privilege. The dancefloor was packed. Rob, Stuart, Tim and Katie also played some wonderful tunes and kept the dancefloor busy throughout. Here's to many more great nights at the venue and more to the charities involved - here's to all that made it a night to remember! go to the top of the class!

A great night as normal, always well run by Dean & Sarah, go to the top of the class!. So pleased this venue keeps going after all the years of Neil's top nights. Really enjoyed the tunes from Dean, Mark, Clive and Jon, all kept the dancefloor busy. The venue and sound system is top draw and the bar well run, with a great dancefloor which makes the event. Keep up the great work😉👍

As always Sara, Dean and the Soul on Wax team did us proud again. This weekender is a wonderful get together of like minded souls who like a cross section of soul music over many genres. Two rooms to give everybody a choice of tunes they would like to hear. The sound system and venue is great as is the town of Newquay and all of its shops and views. A little cold for the sea, unless you have a wet suit! however the hotel has a swimming pool! The staff are always very helpful and the food is great. So glad we were part of this event and so glad all those years ago Lee Vowles had such a vision to create a social event to bring us all together. Another great evening - well organised by Tim and Katie. The Venue speaks for itself and ticks all the boxes. The Bar is run really efficiently and at reasonable prices. The dancefloor is superb as is the sound system. This time we really enjoyed the music from the guests Sara Baker and Dean Carr, a top selection of tunes. If you want to hear more, please get down to the Soul on Wax Weekender in Newquay in November. Tim, Rob and Stuart complimented the guests with some top tunes , across all the soul genres. Really good to see a good crowd of people at the event, many travelling miles. It was really good to meet up with some friends I hadn't seen for ages. Keep up the great work ! with the added benefit that some of the proceeds going to charity. Tim and Katie have planned nights for many years to come which can only be a good thing for Soul Music in the South West. Some great Dj's are planned for the future. Go to the top of the class!

Thanks Trevor, Drew and the team for putting on such a great night. Really good to see so many people at the event and many who travelled. It was really good to meet up with so many good friends, also it was good to chat to alot of new. The music from Trevor, Drew and Nigel was top draw, spread over many different soul genres, the floor was kept busy and the dancers had so much energy. I love this venue, it ticks all the boxes with a great sound system, great dancefloor and cheap bar , well run by the staff, who are always very friendly. If you haven't been to this night try to get along as it is well worth a visit. Taunton is a great town to visit and this night is an extra benefit. We did actually get to the car boot sale on the way home on the outskirts of town but sadly, found no soul vinyl, only Jim Reeves LP's!! next time, maybe, when we get to go to another of Trevor and Drew's Soul events - Many thanks!

A great evening with like minded souls. Loved the night from start to finish. Really good to see Dave Evison, a true gentleman and top Dj, somebody who has always been on the scene, since I started going, all those years ago. It was a real privilege to spin a few tunes alongside the great man (can't wait to read his book!). Also it was great to hear the tunes from Tim, Katie and Stuart. Well done to Tim and Katie for organising a great night and also to everybody who came, danced and listened. Another one for the memory bank- many thanks again.

A great weekender from start to finish. The promoters Sarah, Dean, Frank & Rico have already planned another weekender here for next year and tickets are selling fast! This one was sold out quickly and I expect next year's to do the same. The whole weekend was so well managed the Pontins staff were so helpful and the accomodation and food were good value for the money paid. The venue was great for the music we love, dancefloors top draw, sound system well managed and the music was diverse keeping everybody happy. Many thanks to everyone who made this a weekend to remember - you can all go to the top of the class!- 1 comment

Well done to Jimmy, Malc, Cathy, Clark, Rich and everyone for making this a day to remember. The event is so friendly and a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. If you haven't been yet, I would recommend it, truely lovely people, a top dancefloor and sound system with top tunes. The bar staff are really friendly and helpful, it ticks all the boxes. Many thanks to Pauline and the team for making this a weekender to remember. It was great to meet up with so many soulies in such a wonderful part of Wales. If you haven't been before I recommend you do as the accomodation is top class, with well planned soul events and a great variety of Dj's. The Motown event on Friday was a great way to start such a friendly weekend, with a meet and greet that carried on throughout the evening with some great Detroit Classics being played. Between the events there is plenty of time to chill out with Tenby, just down the road and Saundersfoot, a great place to eat, drink and be merry! The Saturday event was in the larger venue in Saundersfoot that included a wonderful dancefloor that needed no talc and a great sound system. The music was spread over many soul genres and a great time was had by all. Thanks so much to everyone who made it a weekend to remember.- 3 comments
