  1. not MP. Nice girlie toooooooooon though QMPxx
  2. You certainly are the current owner of the title of KoMP but there a couple chasing you, i.e. Pete Robinson and Paul McKay...............funny how some of the best stuff has been nominated by blokes See I said it wasn't about girlie teenage angst drama 500 is a little ambitious and as soon as I am satisfied that we have what makes anything like top 100 I will then work on putting them in order of preferance.................but that will be a major job. Think it would be easier to pick my top 30 out of the top 100 and then put in order. ALso I think it should be a live thing as people will always come up with new stuff that I or even YOU haven't heard. As I said, no movers and shakers tonight as I am watching the footie..........gosh that is sooooooooooo not MP Ta again for your contributions and keep them coming. There are loads in there that are not quite MP but as I have said before I want other people to think about it and then they may realise that MP isn't just about girlie stuff QMPxx
  3. Sorry, no movers and shakers tonight. Too engrossed in the footie so double bubble morrow QMPxx
  4. Trust me, some of the more up tempo sounds will get booted as will some of the very slowies and more "girlie stuff" but needed to have a "starting block" To me the top 5, in no particular order, so far are:- Rozetta Johnson Lydia Pense Liz Verdi Lyn Vanardo Honey Cone But that could all change very soon . QMPxx
  5. I think it is going to be a life's work and changing ongoing . Turning out to be quite a fete but I am sure it will be worth it in the end . Going to temporarily close thread at about 9pm to establish today's movers and shakers............I can feel another poll coming on Keep up the good work . QMPxx
  6. There are plenty out there that I know of but want other peoples choices not just mine. Think - Kim Weston etc, THhnk motown, a few good ones there As you have all proved so far it doesn't have to be rare to be MP - e.g. Rozetta Johnson, probably in the top 5 at the moment £20--BARGAIN QMPxx

  10. Ahh, girlie dancer it may be but does it have that WOW/Tingle factor to make it MP we shall see QMPxx
  11. She can't be the QMP cos I is but she certainly is in the running for High Priestess. Will leave the poll till lunchtime then decide which two will be on the list...........looking like I Got The Skill and Trust In Me at the moment. QMPxx
  12. OK I will consider it, lets see how the votes go and suggest one of the ones I have posted for being kicked out and I will take it on its own merit but we don't want this turning into JR appreciation society...........personally I think she is a High Priestess of Mamsey Pamsey in her own right...........but the ultimate crown is mine Mind you, Jon Downs is doing a good good of stealing it from me QMPxx
  13. Already have 2 Jackie Ross in there and my personal favorite is "I've Got THe SKill" so you need to put your argument forward for this one over the other 2. Infact I think I will run a poll on it........................but just so you all know "I've Got The SKill" so be warned QMPx
  14. CAn't believe that no-one has nominated "One In A Million" Maxine Brown, so I will nominate it and remove Charlotte O'Hara. QMPX
  15. A little slow but may take it into consideration, but so far Jon, some great stuff nominated by your good self..........would expect nothing less from another MP lover QoFxx
  16. So far I have listened to and considered about 50 of the 100 and these are a few that are just waiting to be kicked off for whatever reason, all awesome records but just don't quite get there with that "thing" that is MP. Some are spine chilling but a little slow others just aint up there with some of the amazing stuff you all have posted. Barbara Mercer - Hey Beverly Shaffer - Whre will you be boy - nominated by Reg Dawn - Loves a Magic word - nominated by Tabs Dee Edwards - You say you love me - nominated by Paul McKay Dolls - This Is Our Day Dottie and Millie - Talking bout my baby - nominated by Paul McKay Faye Crawford - What have i done wrong - nominated by Jon Downs (Shortersoul) Keep up the good work and if you have any nominations consider the ones above as the ones you would like to see removed. I am struggling for sound bites of a few of them so will post which ones I can't find and would appreciate it if you could help by posting them. Some of these I know but dont have a copy of or on CD and just need to compare them. Sound bites required Antoinette - Lullaby of love - nominated by Paul McKay Carol & Gerri - How can I find a way - nominated by Paul McKay Carla Thomas - For You - nominated by littlemissoul Carol Fran C'mon - Lets Make Up - nominated by littlemissoul Esther Phillips - Nobody but you - nominated by Paul McKay - SORTED QMPxx
  17. Need a sound bite of Antoinette - Lullaby of love, please if someone could PM it or post it in refosoul and PM to let me know its been posted. Ta QMPxx
  18. Going to temporarily close the thread in about half an hour while I troll through all the nominations, as there are quite a few I am not thatfamiliar with and need to find sound files to give them a fair chance. Remember Mamsey Pamsey needs to be, female vocal, mid to up-tempo but danceable and of the 60s ilk (and before all the modern fans jump on me for it I know there are some great 70s tracks about but more modern stuff needs to be exceptional to make the list as Mamsey Pamsey is purposely about 60s and 60s feel music) and although as many of you know I love alot of RnB it just isn't MP however good it is. Most of all it needs that spine tingling, hair on the back of the neck, WOW factor Thanks for all the contributions. Will re-open later. and as mischief said, this could run and run QMPxx
  19. I know of at least 6 people outside Blue SKies that now know what it is...............does that make it a cult and at least as a Blue SKies guest learn to spell it right its MAMSEY PAMSEY QMPxx
