Over the years my best friends have come through the soul scene. It is amazing when I think of my good husband Dave & my best friends have all come about through the soul scene. We are all a funny lot us soulies, very opinonated, gobby, always right, yet very true to our word and the best friends you could ever have. Soul has been my life since the tender age of 14. The good news is I still get that buzz when I hear those certain tunes, and hearing new tunes that I dont know but get me just as much as they did in the 80's. We all have a little gripe now and then about particular dues if they were a bit flat etc... but hey thank god for promoters who go to the trouble to put these events on. What would we be doing if no such venues existed. My hubby and I run the Diamonds Soul Club which by the way we are in talks regarding the next one, but know how hard and nerve racking it is to put such events on, hoping to please the crowds with the music we so love. Just sit back and remember we are the lucky ones still quite underground and forking proud to be a member of the soul society... May Northern Soul live on forever, and yes I am very drunk on this late Saturday Night. Hey Happy Souling hope you all have some great times ahead.....

Mr Vanner & myself have spent Saturday evening in!! Oh the shame. The box had to come down, the wine was opened actually having a great night, at least the DJ is playing to the crowd i.e. ME!! Getting all my requests played, rug rolled up dancing on the wooden floor, wheres that talc??? Any of you other soul sourcers had a soul tastic night in!! Found a little bag thought it was a headache pill, by christ it works feeling GREATTTTT Thats why this has been posted in wants DOH, Its the hair colour sometimes gets the better of me. You sure that was a nurofen DAVE?
