Our August event comes one week earlier than usual due to room availability. We have Guest DJ Carl Malloy from Derby. Carl is now a regular DJ at the popular Sunday session at Groovin' in Derby. Support as always from our resident team of Stevo, Andy Barker and Clive Henderson. A hot August night awaits. -
This time with the ever-present Jeffrey James as our guest DJ. Last time he was on he made the floor burn so expect more of the same. With support from your resident DJ team it's bound to be another hot one.

June is our residents night. An opportunity for our resident DJ's to do their stuff to the max! Pete Stevo, Andy Barker and Clive Henderson spinning the discs, it's crossover soul, 70's and modern soul all night. A great friendly crowd, smart venue, top sound system, large dancefloor and good priced bar. It all adds up to making Junction 28 Soul night a favourite night all round.

Our 2nd instalment for 2025 features Guest DJ Tony Olly from Mansfield. With support from our resident DJs providing almost 5 hours of top quality modern soul. Great venue, ample free parking, well stocked and good priced bar, plus our larger dancefloor really helps you get out there. We pride ourselves with our inclusiveness as all are welcome and we will play something that everyone knows. It all starts at 7pm. Be early for your fave seat as they all go.

Back with the first one in '25, 70's, and modern soul with Guest DJ Ian Turner from Sheffield, Ian is a regular attendee at J28 so it will be great to see him behind the decks. With support from our resident DJ's, we start the year as we ended the last, bringing you a quality soul night out.

The final Junction 28 Soul night of 2024 with guest DJ Cressy. With support from residents Clive, Stevo and Andy. This one has success written all over it. Festive fuddles encouraged, there will be complimentary mulled wine* on entry. The most important factor is the music, and this one will not disappoint! *WILL contain alcohol

The penultimate J28 night of 2024 is our residents night. Expect head to heads/double decking and all the usual shenanigans with us all trying to play the best tuneage possible, at the expense of the others falling to crash and burn. Pete Stevo has his remixes, also recently being dubbed "The King of the 80's", Andy Barker his rarities, 70's and crossover tunes, and Clive has the best of the rest. It'll be competitive , but great fun and a guaranteed good time for all.

This month at Junction 28 Soul we welcome Alex Simms Simpson as our guest DJ. Alex spins the tunes up in that there Yorkshire at the Scissett Mecca soul night. Guest DJ's from further afield tend to have different sounds that they play, giving us a chance to hear some different sounds. Supported by our Resident DJ's. another top night awaits.

Following our great come back after the summer break, the August night was a packer. September sees our guest DJ from Mansfield. Mick Cook has been around the modern soul scene since year one and is red hot on upfront releases. Vinyl Revival back again at The Spotted Cow at Holbrook Derbyshire. Dj's Clive & John playing all your Motown and Northern Soul favourites from the 1960's and 70's. All played on the old 45 rpm vinyl. The Spotted Cow is a great pub serving top food, great real ales and continental lagers to accompany the music and dancing.

Boston comes to Junction 28 Soul with a visit of our guest DJ Chris Rose from Boston Soul Sprit. It's 70's to modern all night, along with resident DJ's Stevo, Andy Barker, and Clive Henderson. Four DJ's bringing you the biggest variety of soul tunes you will hear at any soul night. It all starts at 7pm.

Here we go with our first summer bonus event. The resident DJ's are supported by our special warm up man Gordon Robison from Derby. Gordon is a retired club jock from a few years ago, he fancies coming out of retirement to play some of his fave sounds. We have a policy of supporting aspiring and returning DJ'S as our previous open deck nights have proved over the years. We expect numbers to dip slightly in the summer months due to holidays etc. But we guarantee you will have a great time with us at Junction 28 Soul.
