Given i have some friends in the US, wondered if it was more viable to bundle a few wants and ask them to ship as a friend rather than as a purchase? This should reduce postage on each 45 as it's only a few dollars internally in the US. Just trying to understand what/if anything i would be paying on top of the sales price if i did it this way? Then i can at least factor this into any decision.

Hello, I am just wondering if anyone could offer any advice for buying from the US? I haven't done so in a number of years and some of my wants are currently only available over there. What i'm wondering is what kind of tax/duties would be owed? Also, is there any benefit of shipping items to a friend and have them ship them to the UK? Either with pt1 or 2 or the earlier version with I'm Weak For You on the other side. Obviously there are loads of copies cheap but mostly stateside and I'm after it as a Christmas present. Cheers!

Hi All, Been a long time since I've visited here but thought it would be a good place to ask. As a younger collector I bought a few soul packs to start me out and I thought these were great fun. I was thinking something similar would make a great stocking filler for my girlfriend who also love soul/northern/r&b. Think it could make some of the dull January nights a bit more interesting seeing what we've got... Any suggestions as to where to buy soul packs? Or would anyone be able to put together some packs? I'm not really after spending £100 quid + and getting 100+ 45s. I'm just after getting my hands on a decent wadge of listenable/decent tunes to enjoy having a listen through. Cheers!
