Seano, The full title of Lamont Doziers song is "What am I gonna do about you girl (The Coke Song) so I think "You got my nose wide open" could mean something other than a sexual thing in this instance
  2. This 12" from Kareem wasn't one of the many new releases played at TSOP but it certainly was appreciated by both collectors and dancers alike. Samples Ron Matlock's "I can't forget about you" perfectly.""
  3. I hope Man U can get off the foot of the table before Ginger comes on Sept 3rd or I might have to play "It's an uphill climb to/from the bottom"
  4. I'm just going through some of the CD Albums that came out during the TSOP Prestwich era and trying to re-acquaint myself with some of those brilliant tracks that we played there. I didn't realise at the time how many. As I go through them I'll post some of them on here. Before I start upsetting anyone I'm not saying that any of these tracks were only played at Prestwich, nor am I saying that they haven't been played anywhere since in fact most are modern soul anthems and rightly so. Quality all the way. First album I dusted off was this one from Tommy Sims Track 4 When you go. modern soul perfection.
  5. Very sad news, this one was always one of my favourites from his Peddling Music On The Side LP
  6. This sounded fab last night, a former Culcheth main room spin for local legend Ian Cunliffe aka (Arthur Daley/Dell Boy) lol and a repeat spin this Saturday
  7. It's okay Martin if anyone missed it, I'm doing a repeat performance tomorrow night. I even surprised myself how good I was. I'm hoping to get it on film to be used as a training video for up-coming dj's. Don't forget it's drinks on me. Is Carol still tea total. I can afford a shandy.
  8. Baz, Is Phil & Alex making a return visit to Culcheth any time soon. Great mix of music last time they was on.
  9. Yes Absolutely, you'd never play it out anywhere, it's just that i'd never flipped it like most of my records. What does JM know anyway lol
  10. Talking of flipping them over this is ont t'other side of "Stop leave my heart alone", I'm not sure why I've come over all Yorkshire like, maybe cos Chalkys coming on Saturday. Manships recommended this one.
  11. Me Too, though t'other sides quality as well.

  13. You can't beat the Yellow'uns Si.
  14. I've only got a carver of it mate but it would be criminal if it never got released on a 45. Big thumbs up from me chalky.
  15. Chris Morgan take a bow son, take a bow for this 1969 soul masterpiece, First played by Guy at Stafford and now a regular play at Culcheth, how long before it becomes a WW or KW. It's a perfect dancer and surely has to be up there with the best ever played on the scene
  16. What so not a Nob Waver then Simon, Here's another Non Willy Waver from Marvin Gaye this time, album only but cheap as chips as they say, no secret sounds here, just quality music
  17. Lots of young soulies in the video dancing under what appears to be a pile of records style lamp shade thing. I'd have a step ladder looking through them.
  18. AH Alfie Davidson, Robbos favourite, he prefers the 12"version the longer the better. lol
  19. Pretty rare on original, I've just noticed on Discogs that Flanny has one for sale £199.00. I had to wait for the Expansion release when Richard was playing at Parkers. Virtually impossible to find then. slightly easier nowadays with discogs & ebay. Great call Mick I haven't heard it played out in years. Top tune.
  20. Here's one for the main room early doors crowd, a fantastic piece of cross over magic from Bobby Shannon. A massive spin for Richard Searling many years ago and still sounds the business. Bobby Patterson's original album track is great but this just edges it for me.
  21. I sold my Ralph Graham LP a few weeks ago. normally it takes quite a few months before I start regretting my decision but it's just started early this time. Thanks Baz for that.
  22. I remember Steve Woomble & Shaun Kearney's legendary Cleethorpes Sunday modern sessions were Ady once wrote in the programme Steve Woomble if he doesn't leave at 5, chuck him in the pool. Culcheth You've been warned this could end up a mini nighter. (If he's had a drink) LOL
  23. Every modern DJ's best friend. Absolutely wonderful. Dancefloor gridlock guaranteed
  24. RIP Michael Henderson. I've loved this record for the last 46years
