When Contempo Raries decided to release Deon Jackson's "Love makes the world go round" bw "I can't go on", who'd have thought that a different mix would be released. not just different but better than the original, complete with female backing singers and wonderful tinkly bits. Thanks to Ste Plumb for putting me on to this many years ago.

Mick correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember many years ago at Bury, when it was a Friday soul night, you played the J.J. Jackson cover up when it was still newly discovered and still a cover up and not letting on who it really was. I still love it and I'm pretty sure Simon will be spinning it this Saturday

With all these previously unreleased records now finally finding a label to release them. Here's 1 that was highlighted on here that went down a storm with the dancers at Culcheth last month. The wonderful Kim Weston. Here's another previously unreleased track that came out in 2013 but hasn't really been given the exposure it deserves. I'm pretty sure that this would have been massive back in the day, so why not now? Listen here for something new that's old & brilliant from The VIBRATIONS what more do we need.

Another oldie that's stood the test of time and slightly more affordable than Cheatin Kind is Eddie Carlton "It will be done" I know Simon's been hammering the flipside at Culcheth and elsewhere but I still love this side,especially the female backing singers that always reminds me of J.Leach "Put that woman down"

I just shuffled a load of records like a pack of cards and asked Moe to pick one (like you would pick a card any card) and you'll never guess the colour she picked GREEN no,YELLOW no, PINK Yes, she picked bloody Pink whats the chances of that. Pink is never going take off is it.
