  1. I've only just realised, I can sing, sort of Little Richards "A little bit of something" to it. lol
  2. Mick correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember many years ago at Bury, when it was a Friday soul night, you played the J.J. Jackson cover up when it was still newly discovered and still a cover up and not letting on who it really was. I still love it and I'm pretty sure Simon will be spinning it this Saturday
  3. With all these previously unreleased records now finally finding a label to release them. Here's 1 that was highlighted on here that went down a storm with the dancers at Culcheth last month. The wonderful Kim Weston. Here's another previously unreleased track that came out in 2013 but hasn't really been given the exposure it deserves. I'm pretty sure that this would have been massive back in the day, so why not now? Listen here for something new that's old & brilliant from The VIBRATIONS what more do we need.

  5. WOW what a TUUUUUNE, I'm thinking Kim Tibbs will feature heavily in Pete Ratcliffes set. Absolutely wonderful modern soul. Take a listen.
  6. Another oldie that's stood the test of time and slightly more affordable than Cheatin Kind is Eddie Carlton "It will be done" I know Simon's been hammering the flipside at Culcheth and elsewhere but I still love this side, especially the female backing singers that always reminds me of J.Leach "Put that woman down"
  7. Yorkshires finest Phil Dick as special guest DJ ,how good is that! So many mega rarities to choose from, this one from The Fascinators made the decks the last time I saw him play.
  8. Hi Paul, Yes it's still here. Regards Bob

  12. If you don't mind your male vocalist singing slightly off key then Sir Joe is the "Guy for you" lol

  17. I just shuffled a load of records like a pack of cards and asked Moe to pick one (like you would pick a card any card) and you'll never guess the colour she picked GREEN no,YELLOW no, PINK Yes, she picked bloody Pink whats the chances of that. Pink is never going take off is it.
  18. Gloria Lynne & Wilson Pickett, 2 class acts Baz, absolutely wonderful.
  19. Yes you'd think so but it's the Gold & the Silver ones you want, like The Professionals,Bob & Fred,The Tiaras "Loves made a connection" etc.
  20. I just mentioned Sheryl Swope before and thought why not post this up as well.lets face it the Green labels don't get a look in when there's all of them Yellow ones around. Please note the talent behind this record
  21. Because there's no footie this afternoon I thought I'd have a dig through a couple of record boxes. When I got to the Green label section (sad or what) stuck behind the brilliant Sheryl Swope 45 was Willie Tee's "Sweet thing" and I'd totally forgotten how good it was. Nice n Funky with loads of strings.
  22. Ahem, So I've been told. Mick, Don't tell me you've been watching Benny Hill as well.
  23. I'm so sorry, can you tell I've been watching all those Benny Hill re-runs.
  24. All I will say is this Harder & Harder is 12" and a possible modern room anthem. Eh Baz
  25. Remind me Si is your love bone a 7", I'm not sure if there's a 12" but if there is then it must be pretty hard to get.
