LOL oh dearie me Mr Lalor Sir!
Sadly these days, I'm more like a rickenbaker than a strat
.
Rickenbacker guitars. I think The Beatles played Rickenbackers. McCartney had a Rickenbacker bass guitar.
Sorry to hear about inconvenience with the job.
Hope something more fun and enjoyable is around the corner.
Sadly wont see you at Stoke but I know Neil, Dolly and the gang are going..
Hope you have a great weekend.

Lennon played a Rick 330,McCartney played A Hohner bass and Harrison an gibson most of the time

Decided I dont care about the size of the venue, I love anywhere that has a good atmosphere and DJ's playing my favourite tunes, with a cheap bar that has no queue.
I can't think of a better venue than Kings Hall, Stoke. Though King George's Hall Blackburn is excellent too.. The Wheel and The Sink also do it for me.
If only carlsberg made soul nights.....

Oh, thought of a better venue - Blackpool tower!..

its all down to pecking order suppose, i opened up many a night when i dj.d ...one good thing is you can try out different tunes, where as later on a dj can sometimes be wary of clearing the floor and decide to play it safe, back to the point though i agree with the 1 hour minimum spot, as said half hour you dont get chance to express yourself.
[/quoteTotally agree with you on this Chris, when i'm asked to DJ i always do the first spot if i can so so i can play unknowns, semi knowns etc without upsetting better known DJ's later on(but i have been known to do that as well)

Just being curious but why the sudden interest in this? Great record, but I've had a mint one in my sales box for the last 7 months and never even come close to anyone showing interest in it....sold it on Saturday at Winsford and now people asking for it.
Has it started to get plays or just been highlighted in a different thread? There's a chance I've got one or two copies in my storage unit, will try and have a look later in the week. If I do I'll PM you Salmon but if you get offered another then take it...
Adam.
Cheers Adam let me know if you find them
