  1. Coco Collier - Here Comes the Rain - Tesla Groove International The amazing singer from our best-selling artists duo The Swans of New England delivers this stunning soul take on the Eurhythmics classic Here Comes the Rain from the 80’s givin’ evidence that soul music can turn everything from average limestone bricks to precious gold bars. Of course it was necessary to provide Coco’s vocals with the right arrangement but it’s just a slight contribution to the development of this very Tesla Groove fashioned sound exploration. Sure this experiment will kind of shock some of you but in all honesty we are all about takin’ on new paths of discovery. Limited Edition Press of 250 View full store item

  5. Audio (feat Vince Broomfield) - Won't Somebody - Soul Junction Audio returns! And riding high, on the back of the success of his 2011, “New Beginnings” album. Although the above mentioned album was compiled from entirely unissued material from the 1980’s, this time around Vince Broomfield following on from his involvement with the respected Cool Millions project. Has presented us at Soul Junction with a brand new 2012 recording entitled “Won’t Somebody”. We at Soul Junction feel that this song is the best thing that Vince has recorded (to date) and have very high hopes of this becoming a future anthem. The flipside is another previously unissued track from the 80’s sessions which we unfortunately didn’t have room to include on the album. View full store item

  7. Elbowed-Out - All Men Don’t Love The Same / Believe It - Soul Junction This summer of 2020 Soul Junction 45 release features an uplifting late 70’s dancer 'All Men Don’t Love The Same' coupled with an early 80’s sophisticated stepper titled 'Believe It'. Both tracks feature Sam Chambliss on lead vocals. Such is the quality of these two tracks it really did come down to the toss of a coin as to which song was used as the A-side. Elbowed-Out’s mission in life was “to get you up and out of your seat, and then to begin to move your feet” something I think you’ll agree they most certainly have achieved. View full store item

  9. Jesse James - Father We're Having Trouble Down Here - Soul Junction 'a very pertinent gospel/social commentary song' “Father We’re Having Trouble” that is already getting acclaim. Everything was progressing nicely until a worldwide pandemic intervened. With Jesse locked down in his new home on the West Coast and Felton in Atlanta the project unfortunately came to a halt. During this enforced period of inactivity further racial and political upheaval occurred which only added more poignance to the project. Eventually with the lifting of lockdown restrictions Jesse finally made it back to Atlanta to finish the project, the fruits of which you have before you now View full store item

  11. Danny Toeman - If What You Say Is What You Mean - LRK Records If What You Say Is What You Mean Raw and gritty, this fiery new soul side packs a heavy punch with its thick horns, relentless northern soul beat, and high-octane vocal delivery from the man himself. Pulling no punches, Danny unleashes a scathing onslaught on the current world situation, reminiscent of late 60’s era Temptations and Edwin Starr. Backed with ‘Everybody Says I’m Wrong’, here we see Danny in a rare reflective mood. Stripped back to just voice, guitar, percussion and angelic backing harmonies, this song has been a popular staple in Danny’s live set the last few years. View full store item

  17. People Get Ready - The Curtis Mayfield Songbook - VA (Song Writer Series) - Kent Records CD CDTOP 506 People Get Ready: The Curtis Mayfield Songbook Various Artists (Songwriter Series) CDTOP 506 Kent Format: Audio CD Release Date 29th October 2021 An extensive overview of the words and music of Chicago’s Gentle Genius Of Soul. A preview of the release notes from Tony Rounce follows below... Curtis Mayfield (3 June 1942–26 December 1999) rightfully belongs at the top of any list of the truly great singer-songwriters that black America has ever shared with the global population. Curtis’ compositions raised the bar for soul songwriting from 1960 onwards and maintained an astonishingly high level for two decades. What makes that all the more remarkable is the fact that Curtis wrote virtually all of the songs that put him in this category on his own, without a writing partner – something others in his peer group (Hayes-Porter, Holland-Dozier-Holland, Smokey Robinson and a host of collaborators, etc) seldom did. All while maintaining a career as a performer with the Impressions for around 13 years, and then as a solo act for a further two decades. Tracks Side 1 01 Gypsy Woman - The Impressions 02 The Monkey Time - The Miracles 03 Behind The Curtains - Jan Bradley 04 Rainbow (Alt) - Gene Chandler 05 Mama Didn't Lie - The Orlons 06 Um, Um, Um, Um, Um, Um - Major Lance 07 I've Been Trying - Jerry Butler 08 Queen Majesty - The Techniques 09 It's All Over - Walter Jackson 10 He Will Break Your Heart - Freddie Scott 11 People Get Ready - Dionne Warwick 12 That's What Love Will Do - The Gaylads 13 Man's Temptation - The Jackson 5 14 Give Me Your Love - Barbara Mason 15 Need To Belong To Someone - Isaac Hayes 16 I'm So Proud - The Main Ingredient 17 Make Me Believe In You - Patti Jo 18 Keep On Keeping On (UK single edit) - Curtis Mayfield 19 The Makings Of You - Gladys Knight & The Pips 20 Let's Do It Again (Single edit) - The Staple Singers 21 Look Into Your Heart (Single edit) - Aretha Franklin 22 Never Stop Loving Me - Keni Burke 23 Giving Him Something He Can Feel - En Vogue 24 Hard Times - John Legend & The Roots featuring Black Thought Listen to two tracks above View full store item
