Top of the Stairs tracks the origins of the Central Dance Club, from the early Mods, through the Northern Soul era to Jazz Funk, and ultimately back again. leeds central
Pete, great article and pictures. I was a central regular from early seventies, and our crowd included Dave Raby, Steve Cook, Mally (big), Melv, Sam, Oki, Eric. I am trying to write and compile a book on the subject, including DJ interviews and input from the dancers and punters. Would you be ok if I include your article ? Can you send me some of the pictures ? My email is smtaylor299@msn.com Regards, Steve Taylor , KTF

BBC - Fake Britain - Vinyl Bootlegs - 28 Nov 2019
