The Enticers - Turn On Your Love Light (Paris Tower) Ex £75 Killer and rare garage soul version of this gospel infused banger. Don’t think this has had any plays and remains pretty much unknown even in the garage soul collecting circles. Everything on Paris Tower is rare and sought after and this is no exception, only other copy I’ve seen was twice this price! No YouTube so clip from actual 45 below. One for an enterprising DJ to make their own. https://youtube.com/shorts/XY3M0-_x3IU?feature=shared PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Postage UK £5.00 recorded, £9.00 registered and insured, Europe £10 tracked and signed. USA £15 tracked. DM or email gspluck@aol.com to reserve or for more information. Please note I do not hold records for more than 12 hours unless agreed in advance by DM. Thanks for your understanding.

Paul (Guitar Red) Johnson - That I Love You (Kellmac) Vg++ £125 I hate selling this 45, have had a couple of times in the past and it genuinely hurts to part with it every time. One of the hardest on the label and certainly the least known. Was a c/up for Keb Darge in the halcyon days of Stafford but like so many it had a few plays before being dropped and has never surfaced since. Killer chugging mid tempo slab of dirty northern R&B that will have its day. Last one I had could’ve sold multiple times and am told £150 was cheap given it’s quality and rarity! https://youtu.be/CLxPxIXv3pk PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Postage UK £5.00 recorded, £9.00 registered and insured, Europe £10 tracked and signed. USA £15 tracked. DM or email gspluck@aol.com to reserve or for more information. Masters Of Soul - Lovely Little Lassie (Duke WD) Mint- £200 ***REDUCED*** Really don’t understand why this hasn’t sold yet! Reduced to almost half its recent sale prices, if it doesn’t go at this price then I’ll file it away - you have been warned . Stunning mint- copy of this killer lowrider rarity. High demand for this with prices exceeding £350 on both Discogs and eBay recently. Doesn’t show often either especially n this super clean condition as WD! Bargain price - don’t sleep this won’t still be here in the morning! https://youtu.be/hu4Tf9dyiNw?si=kjdIYNIZIiRS4Ngf Odds and Ends - Let Me Try (Today) Ex £40 Killer crossover/sweet soul tune that like those above has been rising steadily over recent times, seen sell at £60+ and this is more or less Mint- lovely copy. https://youtu.be/Ab95nNHp1pA Magnificent Men - Maybe, Maybe, Baby/I Got News (Capitol) Ex £40 Blue eyed (garage) soul legends with IMHO their very best 45 and a killer twofer at that! Not sure what side I prefer but for the sake of this listing let’s go with the incredible beat ballad ‘Maybe, Maybe, Baby’. Flip it for an underplayed gem of a dancer that will appeal to garage soul and northern collectors. Why isn’t this on any playlists? It’s f’ing superb! Tough and I think the most expensive of their output but this type of quality for £40 seems like madness. https://youtu.be/j3y2J280x6g?si=w64fMAjWfcbYn669 Steam - I’m The One Who Loves You (Mercury) Mint- £10 ***HEAR IT*** Last couple of copies from a batch of store stock I managed to get, get it now while it’s still cheaper than a fish and chip supper! Pretty sure this one will be new to most, killer, blue eyed, semi-known (at best), ballad that has northern and lowrider potential. I’ve managed to secure a small quantity of store stock having heard this over the phone, already sold four or five privately to those in the know. Am offering these for £10 plus post, can see this one being a £40/£50 once copies dry up and word gets out. Remember the likes of The Mauds, The Riddles and even Gene Yarbrough were relatively cheap and plentiful until they were exposed, if you missed out on those then don’t miss out on this! It’s a small quantity only so once they’re gone, they’re gone https://youtube.com/shorts/-tVCyrTphtE?feature=shared PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Had plays in the past but (and I really find it hard to believe) never took off. For me this has absolutely everything! Just one listen and you’ll be hooked. Went down a storm when I played it at the last Lock Up. https://youtu.be/uHWYWsSbil4?si=ZPR62utNjC5PiB0h Magnificent Men - I Got News (Capitol) Ex £50 Blue eyed (garage) soul legends with IMHO their very best 45, this one should be massive and still sounds bang on for now. Will appeal to garage soul and northern collectors. Why isn’t this on any playlists? It’s f’ing superb! Royal Gospel Singers - There’s Hope For This World (King) Mint- £100 One of THE best gospel 45s I’ve heard, up there with Holy Disciples, Swan Silvertones etc. except this is way underplayed with so much potential! Arguably rarer than either of aforementioned big hitters with hardly any copies going through Discogs or eBay. Seen sell for twice this, be quick! https://youtu.be/G6VaJ1s6ruo?si=Q-oxjuvpL3Fgttql Teddy Huffam and The Gems - Guilty (RUC) Vg (lots of light marks and some background noise, but no worse than the mint copy I had a while back tbh, all seem to have noise from a pressing fault) £75 ***HEAR IT*** Killer Gospel banger that is both exceptionally rare and relatively unknown. Last Discogs copy sold for £200 and with only a handful ever appearing on Discogs and eBay this another bargain. Lots of potential in this one, had a few plays via progressive DJs that actually have a copy but lots of legs left in it! A VERY rare 45! https://youtube.com/shorts/-5ki2kCaIEM?feature=shared (search my channel for a comparison copy uploaded a few months ago which was Mint-) Soul Searchers - Lord Help Me (Song Bird) Ex £25 Another under the radar gospel funk banger that really is ever bit as good as sone of the big ticket items. Not especially rare but then there’s (currently) little demand so who knows once this one gets out and the few copies knocking around get mopped up? Killer! https://youtu.be/ruXRnOpb8OM?si=fUXFsWBOnZuyuqTg Soul Stirrers - Striving (Checker) Mint- £25 Last couple of these I’ve had have flown out! Killer funky gospel that still seems to be under the radar, can only find the one YouTube clip below, so not widely known and not expensive (yet) but ‘Don’t You Worry’ was cheap once! https://youtu.be/3-VHFRzcO1w PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Alvin Delk, The Rocking Cavaliers - Ain’t Nothin Shakin’ (D.P.G.) Mint- £100 Under the radar, under exposed, under priced! An absolute bomb in my opinion and I have no idea why this isn’t massive. Somewhere at the intersection of R&B, Funk, Northern and Garage -it actually couldn’t be more of a now sound if it tried. Rare one too! https://youtu.be/3m-LLUjwgUA?si=T69EsY1rrfLL7KzD Rhetta Hughes - You’re Doing It With Her (When It Should Be Me) (Tetragrammaton) Mint- £35 Finally a classic. A truly superb slab of funk edged sister soul from the pen of Jo Armstead and with arrangement by Mike Terry, the credits speak for themselves but even with that knowledge one listen and you’re hooked. A 45 that every home should have. https://youtu.be/QKPPAG_TY9A?si=NorJ9OyAtd7nZfX9 The Brothers And Sisters - I Am Somebody (Toddlin’ Town) Mint- £20 One of the lesser known 45s on a label that’s spawned many a classic. This one’s barely ever had any exposure (although I think some RSF plays in the past). Funky crossover that’s an absolute bargain. https://youtu.be/Um8k4L--Ync?si=7MWNBqXLt4wqg05f PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Johnson, Hawkins, Tatum & Durr - You Can’t Blame Me/ Your Love Keeps Drawing Me Closer (Capsoul) Ex £75 Stunning double sider with the ever popular northern’Your Love …’ on the flip, but it’s all about ‘You Can’t Blame Me’, killer lowrider that has helped catapult prices upwards of £100 recently. Bargain price for a quality twofer in near perfect condition! https://youtu.be/8ArYtUXUSyE?si=hss8P2JTR_zNcHQv https://youtu.be/T_cdfrSDoqk?si=YQA-U1gwMCxSgc5A Tender Loving Care - Two Fools Are We/My World Is Falling (Renfro) Mint- £75 An absolute killer under the radar lowrider 45 that’s never been common but in the last year or two has disappeared completely. Flip is a nice crossover style 70s dancer, but it’s ‘Two Fools’ that will see the price rise, can see this being £200 once word gets out. Will doubtless regret selling at this price! https://youtu.be/uiOVtNLEc6w https://youtu.be/7B76yS5P5Uo Steam - I’m The One Who Loves You (Mercury) Mint- £10 ***HEAR IT*** Pretty sure this one will be new to most, killer, blue eyed, semi-known (at best), ballad that has northern and lowrider potential. ***************REDUCED*************** Sapphires - Gonna Be A Big Thing/You’ll Never Stop Me From Loving You (ABC WD) Vg+ £125 ***HEAR IT*** Whilst the debate over which is better, the earlier Yum Yums’ version or this more uptempo take, one things for sure they are both evergreen northern monsters that don’t come to market often! Flip is also stunning although considerably lesser known. Condition: XOL and a small sticker removal tear, vinyl has a lot of light surface marks and visual is lower end Vg+ but plays Vg+ with only minimal audible background noise on the quiet intro. Recent sales both on Discogs and eBay have hit £350 so this is something of a bargain at pretty much half price for a copy that is more than fine for DJ’ing. ***HEAR IT FOR YOURSELF *** clips below from actual 45 https://youtube.com/shorts/4lLb1mU65-o?feature=shared https://youtube.com/shorts/CGqgfDqAeUw?feature=shared PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Gene Yarbrough - The Meeting Place part 1 & 2 (Jerma) Mint- £50 Have managed to prise the last two remaining copies from a US dealer who had a small quantity of store stock. I am inundated with enquiries every time I list this. Virtually unknown until very recently and whilst the A Side has a couple of YouTube entries, the far better part 2 has only recently been added courtesy of @BarrieWaddington aka @A45Heaven (who’s no bad judge of a 45 given he was responsible for discovering many of Stafford’s finest plays and plenty more before and after). A killer 45 IMHO and not easy to find, will be a three figure 45 now that all available copies have dried up and it’s getting plays (and given the names of those that have acquired a copy from me that is going to be very very soon!) https://youtu.be/B1FBMgXgLUo?si=XWWPzKyKIPalWpiv https://youtu.be/xuk448cSt5w?si=zuC_7H9CRFFI4Zzo Little Joe And His Soul Brothers “Chick” - Groove/Here Comes The Night (Hot Cakes) Mint- £75 I’ve had a copy of this for about a year now (albeit for the brilliant ballad flip), but managed to pick up this spare recently. Proper full on funk edged northern that is bang on for now. Hard 45 (like others on this label), with only a handful through eBay and Discogs. Fantastic twofer! https://youtu.be/qWxlL7piihc?si=3Na7XJvzsn7BtvRm https://youtu.be/xwT6IlMnc40?si=3bQvwKktLkz2M31D Rhetta Hughes - You’re Doing It With Her (When It Should Be Me) (Tetragrammaton) Mint- £50 Finally a classic. This 45 is sick, genuinely this is a real favourite of mine and while it may not actually be half the going rate (although most copies seem beat and it rarely shows up), it’s still cheap IMHO because a record this good surely cannot remain at this price for long. A lowrider dagger that I’d actually rather not sell if I’m being completely honest. Oh the flip is a fabulous funk edged group dancer too. Condition: some light hairlines and some light crackle on the slow side (although better than most copies I’ve seen/heard), flip plays strong with any noise overpowered by recording. ***HEAR IT FOR YOURSELF *** clips below from actual 45 https://youtu.be/V8WlVBm7q44?si=_HSsiM0z7g-Oawhb https://youtube.com/shorts/oXQJOD06oBA?feature=shared Delacardos - Got No One/She’s The One I Love (Atlantic) Vg+ £25 ***HEAR IT*** From one killer to another, the hauntingly beautiful ‘Got No One’ a 45 that’s risen steadily in price with recent sales at £50/£60 thanks to lowrider demand. Flip it for a fantastic piece of group harmony northern (think was played at Stafford although might well have been the other slightly rarer version, anyway both are great). Condition like those above there are some hairlines and light crackle on the slow side while the flip plays really strongly. ***HEAR IT FOR YOURSELF *** clips below from actual 45 https://youtube.com/shorts/2A37w8L0kYM?feature=shared https://youtube.com/shorts/vJv-Z-dyl_M?feature=shared PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Topics – I Don't Have To Cry/She’s So Fine (Carnival) Vg+ £200 Killer lowrider group harmony that seems to have sailed under the radar a little but recent sales suggest demand (and price) are on the rise, wouldn’t be surprised to see this hit £300+ in the way Fred Paris, Sophisticates, Ambers have – it certainly has both the quality and rarity to go the same way. Flip it for a fantastic slab of group harmony northern that seems somewhat forgotten these days. Either way this is a stunning twofer that doesn’t come to market often. Don’t sleep! https://youtu.be/jvBczwOSgrU?si=MZGkxXLo-0F1FGaR https://youtu.be/cY2r5bTqECo?si=gMlmAJhyTCAZ8pQG PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Cheques - Testify (I Wonna) Ex £40 Yes THE Cheques of ‘In The Groove’ (and others) fame. Here’s an absolutely killer garage soul take on the George Clinton penned ‘Testify’ that’s set to get significant turntable action this year. Don’t but be fooled this is a tough 45 to pay your hands on, issue only so beware the double sided WD! Great record, great future (and for now) great price! https://youtu.be/In0XFdBp3Tc?si=5LTWDdoq57Ga0Fnp Mauds - You Made Me Feel So Bad (Mercury) Vg+ (some light marks DNAP) £40 The increasingly popular garage soul must have! This one flies out the door every time I list a copy. Reliably informed this killer slab of garage soul had plays in the 90s here and there but has still to crossover to the wider northern scene. This honestly blew me away when I first heard it, garage soul at it’s very best and still cheap (well for now)! Sold a lot of these in recent times and it’s no wonder. If you don’t like this then there’s little hope for you https://youtu.be/tdvDbBN3EvY Barracuda’s - Wait For Tomorrow (Smash WD) Vg+ £40 Don’t think this one has been picked up on yet (happy to be proved wrong though). Storming Groovy Garage that has so much dance floor potential. Currently cheap but will doubtless rise as exposure grows (another Riddles and you know what happened with that one). https://youtu.be/8ErWZ7aFXkE?si=Ori4-d_iTg10nHk9 Cam-Pact - Something Easy (Festival) Vg+ £30 Aussie garage soul that sounds like old school northern group harmony! As far as I’m aware this is pretty much unknown and with bags of potential for DJs looking for something new! Australian press only and the groups first single I think, not easy to get (pun intended). https://youtu.be/MRRqkbolgr0?si=-VGMwK4afLm37VgT PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. And this has SOOOOO much northern scene potential! Rare as hen’s teeth private press with very few copies going through eBay and Discogs. Thee Midniters - Dreaming Casually/Breakfast On The Grass (Whittier) Vg (plays Vg+) £250 ***HEAR IT*** One of their hardest and most in demand 45s. Seen low grade copies sell for £350 recently due to lowrider demand for the simply gorgeous ‘Dreaming’, flip it for an incredible slab of Chicano garage/Psych that would not be out of place on some current playlists. Good price on this due to some very very light background which is overpowered by the recording, check the YouTube link below for a clip from the actual 45. https://youtube.com/shorts/ls2X5xsAhi8?feature=shared The Dynamic Daiquiris - Hurt Me So/Kidnapper (Master “W” Records) Mint- £175 Grail! Stone cold killer ‘Shades of Sorrow’ Vol 3 group tear jerker that is simply superb. The ONLY copies I’m aware of came directly from the group thanks to the work of @MikeUmholtz who tracked them down in order to include this on Vol 3. This my personal copy that came from Mike and is a very reluctant sale. Previous copies have sold at £300+ so this is a bargain price point, but needs must! Beach flip side reminds me of something from back in the Stafford days (I’m sure someone will remind me), enormous northern potential as pretty sure this isn’t known at all. You won’t see a copy again anytime soon and certainly not at this price! Don’t sleep. https://youtu.be/QIzXe4De640?si=BJw96VwU6G4qO2AP Danny Harris and The Peacemakers - Never Endings / Miss United America (Cleo) Mint- (had two of these and both have had some background noise, the only YouTube clip also shares light noise so assume pressing fault) £40 Gorgeous virtually unknown psych soul ballad that seems pretty scarce (I wonder if it is a pressing fault that might explain the scarcity). Flip is an infectious garage soul dancer that given current trends and tastes could easily take-off in the right hands (previously not on YouTube so clip below is from this copy). https://youtu.be/WsVaI0GMAg0 https://youtube.com/shorts/e-Em5dl-xY0?feature=shared PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Ron Patterson - We’re Gonna Make It (Venice) Ex £150 Sublime mid-70s crossover that’s currently sailing under the radar. Just the one very recent YouTube entry, a single sale through Discogs and only a handful through eBay evidence both it’s rarity and obscurity. Seen sell for £250 in the past on eBay so this feels very reasonably priced. https://youtu.be/bc_G_Q6gYr8?si=st7WuKnxheXJJfFc Carl Douglas - Marble And Iron/Lean On Me (Buddha) Mint- (plus company sleeve) £75 Seems to be something of an overlooked 70s dancer these days, but it’s the totally under the radar flip - a superb crossover dancer - that does it for me (I understand this was covered up more recently but not sure who by or what as). Either way a quality double sider and well below its going rate. https://youtu.be/Tr1Hcd_YiFU?si=DNyY5IDYoFiA4MBk https://youtu.be/KDgFeJrKKO8?si=9ZeRu34BdvIboguC Bob Corsey - A Tear In God’s Eye (Mont-Ego) Vg+ £100 Left-field psych/sweet soul/crossover song poem! Mega rare with just six copies through eBay three of which sold for over £200 with a top sale of £486! A unique sound and one that won’t appeal to everyone but definitely has something. Not previously on YouTube, clip below from actual 45. https://youtube.com/shorts/96l4s2of76s?feature=shared Michael Jones - Do What You Want To Do (Candy Coated) Ex £25 Seemingly unknown 70’s/80’s modern soul, with plenty of potential. Thee Midniters - Dreaming Casually/Breakfast On The Grass (Whittier) Vg (plays Vg+) £300 ***HEAR IT*** One of their hardest and most in demand 45s. Seen low grade copies sell for £350 recently due to lowrider demand for the simply gorgeous ‘Dreaming’, flip it for an incredible slab of Chicano garage/Psych that would not be out of place on some current playlists. Good price on this due to some very very light background which is overpowered by the recording, check the YouTube link below for a clip from the actual 45. https://youtube.com/shorts/ls2X5xsAhi8?feature=shared PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Pepe Romo, Des Glasford’s Combo Seven - Let The Tears Fall (Just Des) Vg+ £150 Killer Gayanese only dancer that been on the playlists of Michael Robinson (USA) and Mitja Vesnaver (Europe) but it seems has yet to make its way to UK dance floors. And this has SOOOOO much northern scene potential! Rare as hen’s teeth private press with very few copies going through eBay and Discogs. Bargain price because this needs to be heard! https://youtu.be/A1HMd9ap9L8?si=K633ebizn-UX9Hdg Mr. Shotgun - Do What I Want You To Do/ You Had Your Chance (Ebony Sounds) Vg+ £125 An old Dig Deeper spin I believe although so rare it’s never made it’s way beyond the US as far as I’m aware. Gravel voiced, R&B dancer b/w a decent deep soul effort. Interestingly there’s some debate on the Sir Shambling site that this is actually Rev. James Cleveland moonlighting from his Savoy contract . Anyway rare as hen’s and definitely one for the more enterprising DJs out there. Not previously on YouTube so clips are from actual 45. https://youtube.com/shorts/LnuhlwWzkF8?feature=shared https://youtube.com/shorts/vaHNPjpsCkM?feature=shared Johnny Gibson - Baby Let Me Know (GTM) Vg+ £75 Raw as you like R&B dancer that I believe was a cover up for Guy Hennigan at some point. Suffice to say it’s remained under the radar ever since only recently making its way onto YouTube. Another killer dancer and ripe for revival IMHO. https://youtu.be/OfSTTXCBapQ?si=9HVtauroCBD71LBS “Little” Jimmie Ballard - Guilty (Of Love In The 1st Degree) (ABC WD) Vg+ £60 Funk edged R&B that is right for today’s scene hence some exposure in recent times via RSF and other upfront venues/DJs. Tough 45 on the label for sure and seen sell for more. Could have a big future! https://youtu.be/wuOul3JEljM?si=QDrK6uD_dci0QZxF PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Doris & Kelley - You Don’t Have To Worry/Groove Me With Your Love (Brunswick) Vg++ £325 The haunting beautiful and incredibly in demand lowrider masterpiece that is ‘…Worry’ should in itself be enough to command a £400+ price tag and indeed recent top sales have reached this price on a number of occasions, but this has the added advantage of a superb lowrider flip side as well (albeit one that gets less attention). A 45 that, despite it major label release, is a tough one to acquire- partly because demand far outweighs supply. A stunning 45 that graces the collections of only those with the finest of tastes. Another one I’ll doubtless regret parting with almost as soon as it’s gone. Bill Lucas - Cause I Know You’re Mine/I Don’t Ever Want To Love Again (Dionn WD) Vg+ £200 One of, if not the, finest of Stafford’s best ballads b/w an under the radar lowrider that is just as sublime as its flip side. Never been an easy find this 45, with lots of people having to make do with the later reissue/boot. This is the first copy I’ve ever had (and I have been hunting for it since about 1984) and I can’t say I recall seeing it for sale often in the last 40 years either! This one has a few surface marks, but playsVg+ (the odd gentle crackle on the slower flip side but still a good Vg+ player. One of the great double siders that seems to have been somewhat overlooked in recent times, maybe due to rarity. Two quality sides, don’t sleep. https://youtu.be/XpiIwpg2qp8?si=ffJQH2wzQ4iFmmH5 https://youtu.be/mbe54fCRjnk?si=361NCy8nOBq__ZOz PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. The Phantom - Come Back To Me/ Uh Huh, Ohyeah (Karisma) Vg+ (light surface marks, some gentle background but nothing too distracting, priced accordingly) ***HEAR IT*** £225 Rarely seen and barely ever heard, here is the far superior version of Sonny Craver’s Musette 45 titled simply ‘Come Back’. Only once through Discogs some 5 or so years ago and just seven through eBay! Last copy had went at £400 and that was Ex, this is lower end Vg+ with some light background crackle (HEAR IT BELOW) which will probably improve with a deep clean (light surface marks only). Currently this is cruising stealth like under the radar thanks to its rarity but it has a big future given the right exposure. The flip will have its champions too and I’ve included a link to that below as it’s not to be ignored. Rarity assured, exclusively assured, quality assured, investment potential assured. You won’t see another for some considerable time! ***HEAR IT*** clip below from actual 45 https://youtube.com/shorts/AhFNrDWp6P8?feature=shared https://youtu.be/n30kBJsiGaw PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Gene Yarbrough - The Meeting Place part 1 & 2 (Jerma) Vg++ £40 I am inundated with enquiries every time I list this. My personal favourite of those listed, this seems virtually unknown and whilst part 1 has a couple of YouTube entries, the far better part 2 has only recently been added courtesy of @BarrieWaddington aka @A45Heaven (who’s no bad judge of a 45 given he was responsible for discovering many of Stafford’s finest plays and plenty more before and after). A killer 45 IMHO and not easy to find, will be a three figure 45 now it’s getting plays (and given the names of those that have acquired a copy from me that is going to be very very soon!) https://youtu.be/B1FBMgXgLUo?si=XWWPzKyKIPalWpiv https://youtu.be/xuk448cSt5w?si=zuC_7H9CRFFI4Zzo C-Quents - It’s You And Me/Dearest One Essica) Vg+ £50 Double header alert! Not sure which side I like best here, ‘You And Me’ is a criminally underplayed northern group dancer that really deserves more attention, but it’s the flip that creating demand and seen the price rise to £75+ recently, a sublime lowrider group ballad that stands up against many of the rarer and more expensive 45s. Doubt you’ll get another copy at this low price. Don’t sleep! https://youtu.be/LA1xMvfUZR8?si=LrQWXBH81Ez1vPoI https://youtu.be/Ac0P0DHtUfc?si=zxdes4GacfMfuIIB Mauds - You Made Me Feel So Bad (Mercury) Ex £40 Last but by no means least, the increasingly popular garage soul must have! If you don’t like this then there’s little hope for you https://youtu.be/tdvDbBN3EvY PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Postage UK £4.50 recorded £8 registered and insured.
