  1. Walter B & The Untouchables – I Can’t Stop Loving You (Apollo Records) Vg+ (some light scuffs DNAP, plays Ex) £350 There are rare records and then there are RARE records. You see before you one that is and has remained highly elusive for some 35 years, with known copies in single figures (?) Originally played at Stafford by Guy H and has developed something of a cult following amongst collectors ever since. It’s a relentless 100mph stormer of a 45 that I would dare not try to keep up with these days, but it sounds still sounds bang on for now with its raw R&B edge and gritty vocal. Do not ignore the deep flip side that has some lowrider demand, but it is the storming flip that will sell this. If you’re looking for a relatively exclusive and underplayed 45 for your set then this is spot on and given its rarity this is a bargain, records that are far more common, and that have been played to death currently demanding three/four times this. Don’t sleep… https://youtu.be/eklrYOia2JI PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Postage UK £8 registered and insured, Europe £8.95 tracked and signed. USA £12.95 tracked. DM or email gspluck@aol.com to reserve or for more information. Please note I do not hold records for more than 12 hours unless agreed in advance by DM. Thanks for your understanding.
  2. Dry Well - Gypsy (Lauren) Vg+ (one gentle tick on first revolution only thereafter plays as Mint-) £200 A very rare specimen indeed! An old Casino c/up I believe and one that couldn’t be more right for now if it tried. A storming mix of soul, garage and psych that is highly sought after on more than one scene! Also released on La Salle and credited to Ellen & The Shandells (which is even rarer and was last sold for £600 on Discogs), this one is well not as rare but not far off! This release sold for £350+ recently and it’s no surprise given its obvious rarity and quality. Condition is Vg+ but aside from a gentle tick on the first revolution this plays as clean as a Mint one. https://youtu.be/7Omkf8BT_yg Weekenders – Signed, Sealed And Delivered (Wayne-Way) Ex £125 BOOM! THE best version of this classic JB outing (of which there are at least three by Garage bands). Killer raw, uptempo R&B/Garage that is damn rare! Seen this at £300 and £200 before now, recently sold a copy to a well-known upfront DJ so it’s about to get some serious action. Only a very recent addition to YouTube (from that very sale). Opportunity to be ahead of the rest – my last copy. https://youtu.be/hlL4D8ybT4I Revivals - Will My Dreams Come True (NOT ON LABEL) Vg+ (would be Mint- but for small edge warp DNAP) £100 A Michele Coco exclusive (until now). A total private press that seems to have appeared only a handful of times across eBay and Discogs. Fabulous garage soul dancer that’s yet to be heard in the UK as far as I know. Not on YouTube (DM for clip) … Eddie and The Rays – I Feel Like Crying/One And One Makes Three (Titan) Vg £35 Texas garage double sider that’s been on Jack White’s playlist recently and another very recent addition to YouTube. Flip is a nice garage soul ballad too, that’s not on YouTube (DM for clip). Not the best looking copy, plays with some crackle here and there but this is mostly drowned out by the audio. YouTube clip for reference only (DM for a clip if you want to hear the actual copy for sale). Another opportunity to be up there with the very latest discoveries. https://youtu.be/CqB9ldccCuw Mike Adkins - The Invaders Are Here (RCA WD) Ex company sleeve £35 Already getting plays in Europe and the UK at more upfront venues and with a history of spins at Dig Deeper in the US! Killer garage soul banger, sounds like someone added crazed vocals to ‘On The Brink’! A break to die for this is going to be absolutely huge! Buy now before the price skyrockets. https://youtu.be/xPfJwOkkGHk Fewdle Lords – I Know (Tiara) Mint- £30 Last and by no means least a recent Michele Coco spin of the very highest order and cheap too! Frantic slab of garage soul at it’s very best that once it gets more exposure will be heavily in demand! Remember The Riddles was this price not so long ago! https://youtu.be/89kdIIUJK3M Dusty Greyrock - Tears In My Heart (RCA) Mint- £40 Killer garage pounder that’s on a few of the European boys’ radar, sold my only other copy to Mr Maguire recently and I think he dropped on a recent live stream. Another that could easily be the next Riddles! https://youtu.be/8vkrXa3Nk7E Happy Hoss - Call Me Baby (Stark) Ex £40 Don’t think this one is known at all! It’s one and only entry on YouTube has had barely any views. Relentless garage soul pounder! https://youtu.be/AYL-5BCTYr0 Cliches - Why Why Why (Wes Mar) Mint- £30 From the label best known for the N Group double sider, here’s one that’s properly under the radar! Played by Paul Roberts on a recent RSF stream to a great deal of interest. Killer garage/R&B that I’m amazed has escaped attention previously. A real find. https://youtu.be/BuKHSonhi4M PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Postage UK £8 special delivery registered and insured, Europe £8.95 tracked and signed. USA £12.95 tracked. 3. Donnie Wells - Real Love/You’ve Got My Love (Scepter WD) Vg+ (fading and wear to label on ‘Got’ side, TOL/SOL on ‘Real Love’) £75 Should be £100 but priced accordingly as the label has wear and tear. This killer lowrider (I really wanted to keep this one but needs must) is currently still sailing under the radar, but demand has seen it shoot up in price vet the past 12 months and it’s a tough find so expect it to go higher. Forgotten northern oldie on the flip that really shouldn’t be ignored either. Vinyl is strong Vg+ https://youtu.be/gQnOp1RO_1w https://youtu.be/FNfyI6wcPBA Eddie Sull - I’m Looking For My Baby (Marc) Mint- £75 Another that should really be £100, a cracking slab of R&B tinged northern soul. Lovely copy that looks almost unplayed. https://youtu.be/mmrHNPYN-Vs Weekenders – Signed, Sealed And Delivered (Wayne-Way) Ex £125 BOOM! 5. Festivals - You’ve Got The Makings Of A Lover/High Wide And Handsome (Smash) Vg+ £75 Gorgeous In demand lowrider group harmony that’s been selling way above this price recently and for good reason. Flip it for a forgotten northern oldie that shouldn’t be ignored. https://youtu.be/pSGTPp0NvWA https://youtu.be/nK5nz_JBGw4 Ultimations - Without You/Would I Do It Over (Mar-V-Lus) Mint- £65 Another that has leaped in value in recent times thanks to demand for the gorgeous sweet group harmony side. Seen at £80 and rising, gorgeous copy! https://youtu.be/fwWNB7HNIQg https://youtu.be/iLngrMOGBvM Little Tommy Payton - Once In My Life / Once Again My Girl Has Gone (Harvest) Ex £75 Mega rare kiddie soul ballad, only recently uploaded to YouTube with a flip that’s equally as good and yet to make its online debut. 7. Thanks mate, that copy has long gone but I can probably source one at £250
  8. Joys of Life - Good Times Are Over/Descent (Columbia) Vg+ (some hairlines and lower end of grade visually but plays strong Vg+ priced accordingly) £125 Best of both double sider! Gorgeous garage soul topside that sounds bang on for now and growing in demand, flip it for a full on, raw garage monster that would not sound out of place on some todays more progressive sets. Tough 45 and demand has seen nice copies going for £250, this one plays solid Vg+ despite hairlines and a little label wear. https://youtu.be/jA0lP-0VgwQ https://youtu.be/DqMSSTV1KiA You Know Who Group - Don’t Play It No More (Quality Promo) Vg+ £45 Killer Garage/R&B 45 that’s picking up plays in Europe curtesy of Michele Coco. 9. Bristols – With A Girl Like Her (Audio Dynamics) Vg+ £150 An absolute beauty to kick off the week … Killer midtempo garage/blue eyed soul 45 that will appeal to garage, lowrider and northern fans in equal measure. This one’s flying under the radar on all of those scenes but it sounds so right for now. A very rare 45 that so rarely comes to market. Don’t sleep – I doubt this will hang around for long! https://youtu.be/N32zG95qEwU PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. Postage UK £8 registered and insured, Europe £8.95 tracked and signed. 10. Nick Allen – Hard Way To Go/Don’t Make Me Be What You Want Me To Be (Walas) Mint- £225 Funk edged crossover from before either term existed. Criminally underplayed former Jimmy Georgetowns c/up for Keb Darge from the halcyon days of Stafford if memory serves me correctly. Rare one too and, thanks to growing demand for the stunning deep/lowrider ballad flip, rising in both demand and price. Last few I’ve seen have been £300 + so this is a bargain! https://youtu.be/2U3BeOE-nDk https://youtu.be/Tw_Pb3cDH3w PayPal as friends and family or add 4%. 12. Bobby McClure - Love’s Coming Down On Me/Never Let You Get Away (Cedric) Mint- (XOL) £200 Super rare double sider in pristine condition! The original (and best) mix of Bobby’s funk edged northern banger that’s usually heard via the Klondike mix that fades out too soon, backed by a lowrider/crossover monster that’s still very much under the radar here. Make no mistake about it this is a RARE 45, just one through Discogs (and that was this year) at £260. In need of funds or wouldn’t be this cheap. Flip is a fabulous garage/R&B stormer that should not be ignored. What few copies there were of this knocking around have disappeared into the boxes of those in the know. On its way up and the label is a rare one! https://youtu.be/-Pq0u0Rd35M https://youtu.be/O5ExwVdCiDE Fidelics - Lovers In The Park/I Love You Baby (Rising-Sun) Vg+ £75 Glorious under the radar lowrider group harmony that rarely turns up for sale! 16. Modern/Crossover Rarity David Martin - You’re Mighty Right (Rekord) Ex £100 Killer modern soul/crossword that’s exceptionally rare on its first JayPee issue (think Tim Brown auctioned one recently and it made £700!), here is its second release apparently no more than 12 months later and whilst it currently sells for a fraction of the price it’s guaranteed to go way beyond today’s asking price. 17. The Phantom - Come Back To Me/Uh Huh, Oh Yeah (Karisma) Ex £400 Killer lowrider 45, rarely seen and barely ever heard, here is the far superior version (IMHO) of Sonny Craver’s Musette 45 titled simply ‘Come Back’. Only once through Discogs some 4 years ago and just six through eBay the last of which was almost 7 years ago! Currently this is cruising stealth like under the radar thanks to its rarity but it has a big future given the right exposure. The flip will have its champions too and I’ve included a link to that below as it’s not to be ignored. Rarity assured, exclusively assured, quality assured, investment potential assured. You won’t see another for some considerable time. Last copy I saw on private sale was £600. Futuras - Portrait Of A Fool/Signed, Sealed, Delivered (RAMPO) Vg+ £350 One of the best tracks from Mike Umholtz first volume of Shades of Sorrow, and one that’s highly sought after and rarely offered for sale.
