Following the success of our 60's all dayer back in June - The Harrogate Soul Lounge converts to the 60's Beat, Blues & Soul Lounge on Friday 28 November 2025. Top and underground tunes from the 60's club scene - British Beat, R&B, Blues, Mod, Motown, Stax and Soul hits - all on original vinyl releases. It's really gonna be groovy! Free entry. The Harrogate Soul Lounge is an intimate and atmospheric club situated in Robert St opposite Waitrose on Station Parade. The club is less than half a miler from Harrogate Bus and Train Stations. Free entry. 7.30 to 11.30 or Midnight if its buzzing!

The annual Harrogate Cheltenham Club event is back! Relive the tunes and vibe of Harrogate's original soul and R&B club 1967-1969. 60's Club Soul, Motown, Stax, Classic R&B on the polished wooden dance floor of the Ripley Star Club. This iconic venue has hosted some great over the years including Georgie Fame. Steve Cropper (of Booker T& MG's), Nine below zero and many more. What an appropriate venue to host a reincarnation of the famous Cheltenham Club, which kicked local soul events off before "Northern" was "invented"! All tunes played on OVO by original Cheltenham Club Spinner Mike Lowcock plus Ian Smith of Harrogate Northern Soul Club. All profits after concessionary hall hire will go to the Harrogate Branch of Parkinsons UK. Admission is £10 (no booking fee) in advance from the Ripley Live website https://ripleylive.com/seo-upcoming-events/soul-5 Any remaining places will be sold on the door on the night. However be aware that the event has sold out in 2023 and 2024.

The Harrogate Soul Lounge New Years Eve Party - 2 rooms of soul - downstairs 60's club soul and northern; upstairs 70's soul, disco and Modern. A real party atmosphere with dancers from the off!! St Roberts Club is a comfortable lounge type venue with function room upstairs. It is situated in a town centre location c 600 metres from bus and train station. Harrogate has wealth of accomodation for all budgets and is a great place for a mini break!! Capacity is limited to c 130, and last year's event was sold out, so early booking is advisable. Tickets/ Places go on sale at the club bar from 1 September and then on line from 1 October. (www.strobertsclub.co.uk). Price is £10 if purchased and paid for before 30 November and £20 if bought afterwards.

The Harrogate Soul Lounge is pleased to announce a 60's special. Not just Soul, Mod and Ska but a generous portion of cool 60's pop favourites too. All tunes will be played on original 60's vinyl releases. 6 hours of dancefloor favourites. The Harrogate Soul Lounge is a convivial lounge venue, with outside seating, and of course a dancefloor. It is situated less than half a mile from Harrogate Bus and Train Stations. There are services to Leeds, York and Ripon. Come on down this is goin' to be a groovy happening!! The Harrogate Soul Lounge usually plays music from right across the soul spectrum. Soul Hits, Philly, Stax, Motown, Rare, Modern, Northern, Disco, Funk plus R&B. Tonight is an extension to the brief and we will be adding some of the cooler 70's hits to the playlist and broadening the spectrum to include new wave and some of the less chesier 70's hits. This is a party night to celebrate the birthdays of 2 of our regulars Tracy and John as well as one of our DJ's Ian. All tunes are played on Original Vinyl Releases - no boots. Some cool tunes before 9 with dancers thereafter. DJ's Chaz Charleton, Michael Lowcock, John Postill & Ian Smith. Convivial lounge environment with dance floor. Former Harrogate lad Kev Stone joins the resident spinners Alec, Charlie, Christopher and Ian. The Lilypad has a wide selection of kraft ales, with lunches until 4 and Boogie Bites until the early evening.

The Harrogate Soul Lounge plays a cross section of tunes from across the soul spectrum - from old fashioned R&B to northern to disco to modern. It is not your typical northern top 500 night but we do aim to please the dancers, particularly after 9pm. All ther turnes are played on original vinyl releases - no boots. Free entry from 7 30 to midnight. A small but cosy club with a friendly atmosphere. St Roberts Club is on Robert St opposite Waitrose on Station Parade about 500 metres from Harrogate bus and train stations. The resident DJ's are Chaz Charleton, Mike Lowcock, John Postill and Ian Smith. The event usually takes place on the last Friday of the month but check with Soul Source, with Ian Smith or with the club.

We proud to announce that our special guest on our 15th Anniversary Night will be Paul 'Tommo' Thompson of Derby. Paul DJ's all over and is one of the top DJ's on today's circuit.
