Promoters...have You Considered This
I'm wondering how the larger busier venues are going to 'police' it, stoke, prestatyn, blackburn KGH, etc how many on the street at any given time? the doormen are really gonna have their work cut out methinks! Not to mention the local Police, These events must have a plan in place but nevertheless it will be interesting..........

Bags?
Good on ya fella, you listen/dance to whatever sounds good to you, and wear whatever feels good to you, Why what you wear/dance/listen to should be a pet hate of someone else is very sad indeed! Don't listen to the preachers and do your own thing and don't be put off enjoying whatever floats ya boat! You do your thing and let everybody else do theirs! Pete Eccles

Do Soul Jocks Make Enough Money?
Pretty much what i was trying to say in an earlier post! well said!

Do Soul Jocks Make Enough Money?
I co-promoted a local venue for over 4 years up untill about 2/3 years back, what we did as the first night was a reasonable success we held enough back to 'cover' the next night without a single attendee, this worked well throughout our 'existence', We always agreed that if the 'kitty' was ever insufficient that it wouldn't cover the cost of the following months event we would call it a day, DJ's fees were always accounted for alongside all other costs as any lack of support for whatever reason was of no fault of the guest DJ, and like already stated if the other costs were set in stone then why not the guest DJ's? also their are some events poorly attended due to poor management ie lack of legwork with flyers and other advertising and we never wanted a guest DJ to go away thinking they have not been paid due to poor promotion, BTW do you really put your own vinyl addiction down as an event expense? you actually include this in your sums? Regards, Pete sorry just read the hardly even calculate part of your post missed it first time so please ignore my last comment re vinyl addiction
