It's in very nice condition with clean labels like it rarely comes up on the market. I've got this record in NM condition and it has been played only a few times since. It has a few light surface marks in places which are not affecting play in any way. The sound is awesome and I would grade the record as in solid EX condition. There is sadly nothing proof to get about that today, but I had some debates with philly soul collectors about this topic when I lived in philly and no matter if young or old, they all had the same idea about what I just stated above.

Well, I mean a legit second press, of course a re-issue should be legal otherwise you would call it a bootleg. Sorry if I confused someone.

To my knowledge, Soul Groove black lettered on light blue ground is a legal re-issue. Only no. 152 to 159 came as orig. stock copies black lettered on light blue ground, all others where issued originally with dark blue letters on light blue ground (while a few releases were never issued as stock copy) and not all releases were pressed at the virtue pressing plant. as additional info, a few releases are also available as west coast monarch styrene presses, but only dj copies as far as I know.

I still disagree... not a single copy on gemm nor on graig moerers site. Don´t you think somebody would have sold it on ebay after it made nearly 170 bucks in summer 2012? If you think it is currently in demand and a common record, don´t you think sombody, like graig moerer, would go and sell it on ebay right now?

with all respect Bob, but I can´t agree with you. You may found several copies somewhere in Chicago of the Jay Pee press, while I used only the possibilities the interenet has to offer to see if the jay pee press is really easier to find than the 2nd release on Kemp. I couldn´t find any of the jay pee release offered for sale here on soul source while the kemp 45 was several times. there was only one copy sold in auction on ebay over the last five years, while the kemp 45 were sold twice and I don´t think it sold all other times under $20 and is for that reason not listed on popsike. both records didn´t find the way to discogs yet, which also does not speak for a common record that sells on ebay under $20. the jay pee press can not be found on youtube, while the kemp press is there twice... all these facts speaking against your opinion. But is it possible that you mixed up this record with their other release on jay pee, which is indeed a not too hard to find record?

But it seems to me that the "don´t stop.." side came on Jay Pee before Kemp, as the Kemp 45 is using the JP matrix and to be honest, the instrumental version on the Jay Pee 45 is by far more my cup of tea than the "portrait.." tune by the ladies on Kemp

You´ll see some good prices in there, but don´t forget about the shipping prices from the States to Europe... if there is only one 45 from interest for you, you might want to check first with European sellers and get the same record finally cheaper, because of the cheaper shipping prices. Grading and prices are made to make the buyer happy. Even VG graded records will be still very enjoyable, both at home and on dj decks. Hi folks, two records needs a new home... CLEVELAND ROBINSON - LOVE IS A TRAP / A LOAF OF BREAD - NOSNIBOR 1002 ... £700 the vinyl shows lots of surface marks, seems the disc was a while missing a sleeve, but plays surprisingly well.. I can hardly hear any crackles or back ground noises on the "Love.." side. flip plays slightly worse. visually VG ..sound "Love.." EX /..sound "..Bread" VG+ THE PETS - I SAY YEAH / WEST SIDE PARTY - CARNIVAL 511 ... £100 the vinyl shows only a few very light marks, but the record has a very slight warp.. not affecting play. visually EX ..sound both sides EX+ for label condition please check the pics below, worse side shown. thanks for looking!
