    Hey fella, I'm not sure if I have any of those as they are very early but I'll have a look. I'm selling up so need to get some bits out of storage which is where they are. If whoever it is needs any memorabilia I'll be letting that go too at some point.

    Hi,

    My interest has dwindled over the last few years and it's time to let the vinyl go.

    Starting with the 12"s, who or where is the best place to off load a collection of all things soulful (both 12" singles and albums). There's soulful house (the kind of things played at the likes of Prestwich etc, classic 70's and 80's, crossover and even the things that fell into the Northern vein (Alfie Davidson, Greg Perry, Skip Mahoney etc).

    I'm not willing to split and I actually don't have a quantity count but I'd hazard a guess at 1000 pieces.

    Actually thinking about it, it would have been the Sun or the Mirror as Francesco's book focussed on and was titled the "Last night of Wigan Casino"

    It was a subject that I brought up when I interviewed her and Nick at the Blackpool Weekender a good few years ago for Manifesto. She absolutely denied it was her. One of the worst interviews I had, that and Diana Ross. So far up their own ar*es. I didn't bother letting it go to print.

    As a final update, Ben at Charly has agreed to send a copy out to me as the original is presumed mislaid. Royal Mail tracking indicates that the package is at the depot their end but there are no further updates.

    I don't buy many records nowadays but I've certainly had my fair share of trouble when I have.

    As an update, I had an email yesterday from a chap called Ben saying that they acknowledged my order and will be back in touch. As yet still no further info.

    Trust you are well too. Do you ever get back to Mablethorpe?

    Strange as it may sound , I then had a shipping notice , complete with a Royal Mail tracking number .

    So chin up Steve , they look to have it hand , victims of their own success ? 

    Further to Dave's update, as yet I have heard nothing (responses to 3 x emails) nor received anything. Admittedly our post is slow being out in the sticks so I'll give it until tomorrow (Saturday) and then follow it up with maybe a Sonic Wax involvement too.

    I wasn't going to post any more on this topic due to the previous unexpected comments made by other participants. I would like to say I didn't actually say it's a Scam, just hoped that it wasn't. I still haven't heard back from my three enquiries and have received no notifications, hence my concerns.

    Hi all,

    Does anyone have a contact for Charly Records? With the resurrection of the label I'm hoping this isn't another scam as per The Nurons issue on whatever label it was - Brewerytown springs to mind (yeah, I never received neither the issue or demo from them but did get a copy courtesy of Happy Feet on here for which I am eternally grateful). I ordered the Mill Evans quite some time ago but have received nothing. Anyone else had the same issue as I saw people posting on Facebook that their copy had arrived and even seen it on set lists when played out. I haven't checked my Paypal transaction history yet to get the date but I know it's been a while.
