The "old" George Smith was a yellow issue but had a small piece of the label missing and label wear , the current stocker for sale looks nearly mint and I can't find a Significants. Spook

I "won" a 45 from this well known dealer for $206 a couple of weeks ago, the mystery bidder had also bid eight times on this 45 but stopped at $115 !! I must have paid to much If you look at the 45's the mystery bidder has won, I have checked out a couple they don't seem to have resurfaced on ebay again yet. George Smith, Significants, Linda lloyd & Deadbeats to name four and they all have marks on the labels which you can easily see. Careful and keep em peeled Spook

The 'Steam Machine' them bl**dy lights in the roof did my head in !! Main memory of going there was 9 of us in Ford Anglia ' 7 Ladies' including Deruth Bonnel (Del) from Hodnet (moved to Crewe/ Belgium) and Anita Stolz (Market Drayton / Crewe) Also used to go to Sams Friday nights at the Raven (Beefeater) and in later years Tiffs Newcastle (downstairs Sunday Nights). Happy Days ! I seem to recall going downstairs and 'Landslide' is always a tune that reminds me of there. It was one of the few places I could buy the OOTP 45's along with the record shop in the arcade which was basically down past the side of the Top Rank / old Radio Stoke opposite where Cartlidge curtains used to be (can't remember the name). Remember Keith Minshall having a record shop in Hanley , I think it is where the main entrance to the Potteries Shopping Centre is opposite the Britannia Building society. david
