  1. at the St. Ives reunion this saturday the 'Theatre' room (where they used to play Oldies in the 70s) is going to have "Modern Oldies" played in there. I have my theory as to what a "Modern Oldie" should or may be but have heard many different definitions over the last few months when discussing the term with others. Can anyone please let me know his/her definition? thanks in advance. from a modernist old person with a hint of crossed-over signals from a much loved scene.

    it's taken a lot of people's minds off this impending depression that's already cost me my job and i'm sure many others will follow, the antics of a clown on ch4 will not cause me to lose any sleep, if people watching think that's what the northern scene is (freak show) then great, they won't be getting in my way with their beer glasses on the dance floor and as for the rest of us..... we know it's not ...
