  1. THE FOUR TOPS

IS THEIR ANY THING I CAN DO----FROM FOUR TOPS SECOND ALBUM

couple thyat occured when flicking last night

Eddie Kendricks- girl you need a change of mind

(oft quoted as the first disco track, certainly well ahead of its time)

Thelma Houston- I'm here again again massive influencial disco cut

but while were at it anybody had

Thelma's verion of- I aint going nowhere? UK LP only apparantly

"Girl You Need A Change Of Mind" was released in the U.S. On Tamla #54230 and in the UK on Tamla Motown # 916.

  2. Here's a few more for the list -

Marvin & Tammi - "This Poor Heart Of Mine" from "Easy"- revamped version of The Marvelettes' "Only Your Love Can Save Me"

4 Tops - "Can't Seem To Get You Out Of My Mind" from "Yesterday's Dreams"

Miracles- "It's A Good Feeling" ("Make It Happen")

Supremes "Together We Can Make Such Sweet Music" ("New Ways But Love Stays")

  3. To Boba - is Bob Miner(Minor?) still around? I remember him selling records at the old Boston record show. At that time he was rather overweight and would consume a large sub or two at the table, often decked out in Cubs gear. He had a lot of good records though in his uniquely dated sleeves.

Bob Miner is still at the Record Dugout.

  4. I like the pizza at Leona's. Would agree with you about Lou Malnatis. Wouldn't recommend Giordano's though- had one of the worst pizzas and worst service at the one near Rush- might have been an off night though.

You've got some good leads- good luck on your visit !

I live in the U.S. and I have only seen that sleeve once. I don't know if it was only made in certain parts of the States. The red sleeve is far more common.

But... they did put it on the front cover of "Complete Motown Singles- 1965" from Hip-O so it was used at some point.

  6. "These Things ..." never came out on V.I.P. . I believe you're thinking about "A Bird In the Hand..." which originally was on V.I.P. #25021 and was probably

    withdrawn and re-released as V.I.P. #25030.
