To most people, these words don’t mean a thing. To us, the tiny lucky minority, they mean everything. Some are funny. Some are heartbreaking. Some are plain genius. Some… well, some just transport you for no clear reason. They just feel right.

THE STORY
I’ve always been obsessed by (and I’ve always jotted down) all those northern soul lyrical gems, I recently decided to compile them in one place. It turned out to be a pretty big place, because there are just so many great words. Now I’ve put them all together in a huge print. It’s deliberately strange-looking. It looks like a novel’s worth of words on your wall. Nice and… different.
And I thought it would be good to pick 25 monster sounds to create an artwork for, so people can tailor-make their print according to their fave tune.
