John Legend has teamed up with The Roots to push out a covers album with a difference - its actually quite interesting and enjoyable.
The album is made up of their takes on "socially/politically conscious Soul classics from the sixties and seventies".
As can see by the track listing below its quite a varied selection and is billed as being inspired by the recent US presidential elections.
Highlights from here being the versions of Baby Hueys "Hard Times", the take of "Compared To What " and the title track
Also includes one original track - Shine
