Get On Up This Weekend in the Uk - James Brown Film

This weekend sees at long last the UK release of this James Brown bio film.

Released in the USA back in Aug 1st, you could question the wisdom of such a delay between USA and non-USA releases.

Anyway it's out this weekend and at first look it does seem to have a fairly wide release here in the uk,

    I´m impressed by the trailer, really looking forward to this.

    LOVE James Brown, his influence on music is beyond compare.

    First Elaine´s brilliant movie and now this, great!!

    Hope there´s a European or all regions blu-ray being released...

    I saw it yesterday, it's O.K. though I'm a little bit disappointed. They just captured some of his life famous moments and 2 hours are much too short for resume James Brown's life.

     

    The actor is a great dancer. The best parts for me are the concerts scenes, all the music being the real thing.

    Saw this yesterday. Thought it was outstanding.

    it wisely sacrificed big chunks of his long career, in order to create a real insight into the man, which it did brilliantly, making it a good film rather than a documentary.

    but the general authenticity of the studio and concert scenes and dancing is incredible
