John Silvester Wheelchair Appeal

Wanting to raise awareness for a wheelchair fund for John Silvester. 

John had a bad car accident not long back and has lost the use of his legs. His crappy NHS wheelchair is a real discomfort and a pain. We're currently 575 sheets away from getting him a nice one.

I Hope John will be back to his usual dancing self again before too long. In the meantime, this will help him greatly.

    Derby Soul will hold a Christmas hamper raffle this Saturday at The Venue event and will donate all the raffle proceeds to Johns appeal

    Twenty two hundred pounds in three days! What great pals John has and big thanks to members for their generous donations. 

    £285 off £2500 target as at now. I hope he'll be upstanding and avidly dancing again soon, but at least this will help in the meantime. Thanks again.

    Bloody hell din't know about this , thinking about you mate, top man, i'll make a donation. Let me tell you all, got determination all right , like the night 5/6 years ago when he walked from nottingham train station to blackhearts allnighter when it was held in bestwood village ,7miles in a snow storm wearing leather soled shoes ! Never forget the look on his face when i told him he could of got a tram to within 1/2 a mile .

    Just to let you know that Derby Soul had a hamper raffle at our event on Saturday and raised £205 which will be banked and transferred as soon as the banks reopen tomorrow, good luck with everything
