An afternoon of outstanding soul music from most genres including Northern Soul, Modern and 7Ts, Old Club Soul, Motown, R&B and Funk. 
The club is an intimate, friendly place. Five or six different DJ's each playing their favourite tunes, giving the afternoon an interesting range. 
Drop £3.00 in the glass on the bar and the dance floor is inviting you. You have until 8 o'clock until the tunes fad away.
Ample car parking; hot food available later in the afternoon.
DJs include: Kim White; Stan; Jamie Walker; Paul Worthington; and the good looking Steve Crawshaw (ha ha!).

Note this is all about the music - not the format. The music format is digital and will vary from the well known classics to underplayed gems - we have six hours to go at! We will play requests if we have them and the regulars often hand in a list on their arrival . Yes it's very informal and everyone seems to know each other in no time at all.

Color One Tear Black is back this Sunday, 8th September, and we have COTB-family Junior returning, and Mel G spinning with us for the first time.

Junior first worked at Footprints Records in Finsbury Park before moving at the legendar BPM Records in Kennington, one of London's best soul, funk and jazz deletion and import specialists of the 90s. A long-time champion of the sort of soul music that we love at Color One Tear Black, and with a deep collection, he spins regularly at Carib Soul.

Hailing from Romford, Mel G is deep in sweet and modern soul, revival reggae and lovers' rock – music that he's been collecting for over 40 years. A regular on specialist radio, Mel has hosted shows on Colourful Radio, Roots FM, SLR Radio, and currently has a weekly show on Vibes Urban Soul (Monday nights, 10pm to midnight).

COTB residents Jim Edwards, David Hill and JM will also be spinning alongside Junior and Mel G on 8th September.

Set up in February 2016 by Thierry Cochet, AKA Dr. Kruger (nts radio), Color One Tear Black celebrates group harmony, mellow steppers, sweet and deep soul music, all played on original issue 45s by resident DJs Dr Kruger, Claire Kalvis, Jim Edwards, David Hill, JM and monthly guests.
