70s Emidisc Seller, Who Was It

in the late 70s i bought a 6 track emi disc out of black echos paper from a guy in nottingham, he listed all the top wigan/searling sounds . and you just pick which tracks you want, i picked 6 tracks .when the disc came he had just put 6 random tracks on and the sound quality was shocking, if i recall this was causing quite a stir on the scene in the late 70s/early 80s . can any one shed any light on who it was , and no im not after my money back :thumbsup:
