Anyone know what the bar is called on Montechorro strip where northern is played every saturday, going very soon, on my stag do, and feel I must pay it a visit (with 8 non-soulies). I know a few on here have been, and have seen it listed in events, but no name of the bar.

Can you be a bit more precise about location of Montechorro strip (geography not my best subject at school!). My mate lives in Portimaou and she may be able to find out for you. I know there is a bar in Playa de Rocha that does soul also - called the Soul Bar (quite apt)

If you PM me more info then I can email Sue and get the name for you if we can.

Oh that would be nice, I'm going to Albufera at the end of the month for 2 weeks - I'm not that lucky, surely?

No wonder you hd no pennies to buy me that Amarretto on Friday

Alba is about 40 mins from Playa de Rocha (if my memory serves me right - sorry but spent my hols falling in and out of bars ). Sue is an old soulie so she knows where and when the soul bars are in full swing so I'll get her to have a look about and let you know. What date you going and I'll get her to run round ASAP

The Strip is a 5 minute taxi drive from Albuefera.

It's 15 years since I was there last,it's probably changed out of all recognition now

we were there a couple of months ago its called legends we left him a couple of CD's to its the first pub at the top of the 'strip' there is loads of caracatures draw all out side i would recomend going to albuferia alot very nice

Thanks very much, going to Villamoura this Saturday afternoon, and will sniff out the joint. The venue does advertise (on another board) but doesn't give the name of the bar, . Anyhow, I rang and it is Legends at the top of the strip. Ex-Kiss FM DJ Mark Sebastian does the DJ'ing.
