Listen and see if you don't agree this is a better tune, can't really get along with the 'entertainer' vocal approach of El Anthony myself, so this is a better use of the backing IMO.

Two Chicago (at least Chicago connected!) girl group northern sides here. The "Beggin" side has a similar (identical?) backing to the one used on "Karate Boogaloo" and has been getting a few spins in recent times, the flip is also a dancer.
