Just wondering if there was anything planned for the New York / Philadelphia areas this year. I would love to attend.

Hi Daryl,

Hope the following link helps! Me n' the missus were out in NYC last year & we enjoyed the nite @ SubwaySoul, but it looks like they're having a break. Check some of the others listed mate. :)

Subway Soul are looking for a new venue currently...

Pittsburgh has a monthly night, DJ Riel and Ian Friend put this on

Baltimore (just an hour south of Philadelphia) has Charm City Soul Club:

I dont think there is a Philadelphia regular soul nite of such but Ill look into it.

drop me a PM if you are gonna be in the NY area for a soul event.

I live in NJ as well. Drop me a PM with your email and I can let you know when these events are on.

There was a Wed night event in Trenton but I'm not sure if it is still going on.

I just ran into Connie T Empress and Bob Shannon on Memorial day and they're talking about getting something going at Maxwell's in Hoboken. There seems to be a lot more interest now in events like this than when you and I were trying to promote the Solid Hit Soul Club all those years ago. In Brooklyn alone there must be a half dozen different events every month.

As far as I know, though, there's nothing happening in New Jersey these days. If the Hoboken night gets going, I will certainly let everyone know.

We will resurrect the Solid Hit Soul Club!

Maxwells is gonna have parking problems...like any Hoboken venue...car boots anyone?
