Joel would be William Joel....or Billy to you! This song was written and recorded by his band the Hassles. The Hassles version was a regional hit, and there are probably more recorded versions out there. The Hassles were on United Artists. The Teardrops were somewhere in the eastern/central PA area IIRC. I have another 45 on Max that's weak garage. I like this record (Teardrops) but the severe stereo seperation bugs me.
