Hi All, Can someone clarify this question as up until 1 hour ago I had never noticed this issue, Early ATLANTICS used to be on the London Label & the London Label acknowledged that on the label hence LONDON-ATLANTIC. In 64 Atlantic as a label in it,s own right started with #4001 the Drifters "Under the Boardwalk" - #402 Bobby Darin - #4003 the SKA Kings "Oil in my lamp" c/w "Jamaica SKA" - #4004 Solomon Burke "Every Body". My question is about the DEMOS of these records< as #4004 is a Yellow DECCA type ATLANTIC DEMO, but #4003 is a LONDON-AMERICAN DECCCA type DEMO? as I do not have #4001/2 could any one explain (a) are they on LONDON-ATLANTIC or ATLANTIC, ( Why such a big company like DECCA who issued many hundreds of DEMOS did not get a new label together at the launch?
and © Why or how come there are so many anomalies on both labels ie: Lou Johnson DEMO London/Monument, Ben E King Atlantic #4065 Test Pressing???
