Hi All,

I finally made it into my secondary 45 storage and spent a few hours Sunday having a rummage and found some good bits (some will be available soon):

Jackie Lee/The Duck (not a biggie, but one for my box!)

Johnny & Jackey/Let's Go To A Movie Baby - Anna

Patti Hamilton/My Baby Loves Me - Lovelite

Manhattans/Manhattan Stomp - Carnival

Johnnie Walker/You're All Mine - Tollie

Joe Tex/You Better Believe It Baby - Dial

Ernie K. Doe/Dancin' Man - Duke

Joe Tex/Skinny Legs and All - Dial

Willie Bobo/1-2-3 (Uno, Dos, Tres) - Verve

Hopefully there'll be more gems to come!

Chris,

There are another 150,000 45s from Louisiana and Texas in there, so I know there are some good bits in there.

Chris,

The Texas collection was the best. Imagine 50,000 unpicked 45s from one collector's personal collection. So many gems passed through my hands that I have wanted to keep, but couldn't justify it. Three copies of a soul/funk 45 from Tickled Pink, Reginald Milton and the Soul Jets ($1000), Second Resurrection 45, tons of Texas funk, loads of Northern, tons of garage, psych, and the best bit of all...the only known copy of a blues 45 on Sun from D.A. hunt to ever surface since 1953, which sold for over $10,000.

I've only started to dig through the Louisiana 45s. It's a mix of a black-owned record store that was hit by Hurricane Katrina, and the other part of it is from a New Orleans jukebox route.

Good pickings, indeed!

Making me green just thinking about it...If we were flying I`d be on a plane "helping" you dig through that lot!

Enjoy.

Chris
