  1. I was only thinking this morning, I must phone Jim and pop around for a record playing session one day next week! One of the warmest, funny and generous people anyone could wish to meet. It was a pleasure to have known you. RIP Jim.x Chris
  2. Just an update on the accommodation situation for July 29th. It seems the Premier Inn in Nantwich is now booked up too. If you are thinking of staying over I would advise you to get on it sooner rather than later! I would now say that the following hotels are going to be your best option: Mill house barn B&B- 07946 165520 1 mile from venue, apparently a lovely B&B. Wychwood Park hotel-0871 222 4830 5 mile cab ride but nice hotel and they do some great deals at weekends. Railway Hotel-01270 623482 5 mins walk, rough and ready but clean. Best Western Crewe-01270 213204 4 miles away-decent hotel. Hunters Lodge Crewe- 01270 539100 3 rooms left last time I heard.
  3. If you do not receive our emails please PM me and we will add you to the list. In the meantime here is the last one in case you did not see it! Yes, We are back at the Crown Hotel on Saturday 29th July for the next edition of Dab! As always we have a DJ line-up that people only dream about! We are proud to welcome Yorkshire spinner Steve Mannion. Whilst Steve may not be the kind of guy who gets up and shouts about it he certainly has a reputation for spinning stunning records whenever he is given the opportunity.Quality assured....and a top bloke too! He recently got hitched but we are hoping Jo will give Olof a pass out for the 29th July so he can spin at Dab! Olof is the quiet man of Scandinavian Soul, so quiet in fact they have not noticed he moved to Belfast 6 years ago! Anyone who has witnessed Olof's spots at the Llandudno weekender will know what this guy is all about...pure quality! Our last guest needs no introduction, Arthur Fenn has been a stalwart of the Modern Soul scene since it very first started. Killer tunes that are sure to keep the dancers happy and the chin strokers stroking their chins will be the order of the day from Soul music's number one golf fan! We have already sold out the Crown Hotel for the night. We would now recommend The Red Cow 01270 628581 or The Cheshire Cat 01270 623020 or if you are not over fussy The Railway 01270 623480 all are within 5 mins walk. A short cab ride away is the Premier Inn 0871 527 8782 .Other accommodation is available in Crewe. Please shout up if you need any advice, or check out the Dab FaceBook page. We look forward to seeing you there for another Dabtastic night of quality soul music! Chris & Dave.

  8. I would start at the Attic and ask Fred or his son who else you should see. He might be able to hook you up with somebody else in the area. Fred is a really nice guy, he would be happy to help I am sure. Ten years ago Pittsburgh was great for records but a lot has changed in those 10 years! I would give Johnstown a miss, it's a couple of hours away and the guy is hard to work with, he gets suspicious when you want to buy something! Chris
