August 4, 201014 yr Should men and women dance differently? No, Julie's right, do what you like. Do men and women dance differently? Hmm... i think there's definately a foot to foot triangular shape on the floor that women make that men don't seem to do. Men seem to dance more in straight lines, then switch position and dance in another straight line, so you get a cross shape. Talking generalisations of course, not everyone dances this way.

August 6, 201014 yr I dunno really. My mate that taught me the moves,was taught by his older sister. In that case i dance the girlie way lol. really though i have not got a clue what i do,i usually make it up as i go along. Somebody commented once that i never dance the same to one record as i do to another. Love to see myself on video sometimes,just to see how much of a fool of myself i am making. Stu.

August 6, 201014 yr I only ask as I remember listening to a Keb Darge interview where he said that women dance differently and are quite distinct from the male dancers or words to that effect. I personally think all dancers have their own sense of style and individual way of doing their thing, there may well be subtle differences between the genders and on the whole it tends to be men that engage in the more acrobatic style of dancing.
