I recently heard two different versions of Southern Love, one by the Falcons and the other by Ronnie Hawkins. The latter was familiar to me, played by Gene Robertson at Solid Hit Soul and I'm old enough to remember it when it was issued in the UK. But I never knew there was another version till last week. Simple curiosity makes me want to know who did it originallly.
