Sunday Sales- Updated & Some Cheaper Stuff Reduced

Recommended Posts

Need to pay some bills and getting payment from customers at work is like getting blood from a stone at the mo so here's one or two things up for grabs. I'll do postage (SD) on anything over £100 otherwise add £2 for rec del.

Concealed cash, cq to P Threlfall, 59 Bluebell Way, Bamber Bridge, Preston, Lancs PR5 6XQ.

Paypal (as gift please) Philip@threlfall.fsbusiness.co.uk

All strictly graded and at least Ex unless stated. As ever, money back if you're not happy.

One or two less than mint bits here at what I hope are good prices so it may be an opportunity for the less fussy amongst you to pick some decent records up cheap. All play fine and are certainyl ok to DJ with, minimally. I've tried to give as good and fair a description as poss as I'd rather folk were pleasantly as opposed to unpleasantly surprised.

If I'm miles out on any prices make me what you think is a decent offer by all means (don't take the piss though):

1. Little Charles & Sidewinders - talkin' about you babe (Decca demo) £65

vg+ or better, scuffs dnap. Great, great record for not much dosh

2. Ray Scott & the Scottsmen - right now / feeling no pain (Decca (rarer) issue) £100 ON HOLD

3. Steve Flanagan - I've arrived (Era) £250 SOLD

4. Magicians - love let's try it again (Villa) £450

Immaculate. Awesome record! Think that's about as cheap as I've seen it in recent times ... ... could be wrong of course and if I am someone'll tell me for sure:lol:

5. Classics - looking for a love (of my own) (Wide World) £175

vg++ I'd say. Absolute class, wonderful mid-tempo group sound. Light scuffs dnap and a v good price I think

6. Edwin Starr - you're my mellow / my kind of woman (Ric Tic demo) £125

Awesome double-sider of course, plays great. Some wol on 'woman' side and I'd say it was a bit better than vg+ overall. Demo books for sommat daft as I recall

7. Buddy Lamp - next best thing / little bit of lovin' (D-Town) £50 ON HOLD

8. Whispers - the dip (Dore) £75

Name in pen on 'dip' side and label is torn across Dore logo (tear is 1cm wide and about 4cm across label). Vinyl is close to Ex; good price for a great record I reckon

9. Lou Roberts & the Marks - ten to one (MGM demo) £45

Good solid oldie not on everyone's playlist. Clean copy too

10. Epsilons - mad at the world / I'm so devoted (Shrine) £125

Significant pencil / name on 'mad' side; vinyl would be vg++ I'd say. Take yer pick, both sides are decent tunes I'd say

11. Rays featuring Hal Miller - love another girl (Amy demo) £175

Great record IMHO. Picked up this spare recently vg+++ / Ex

12. Fabulous Apollos - what's so good to you / Valtone Band - instr (Valtone) £30 now £25

Worthy double-sided Detroit dancer

13. Preston Peters - got to have peace of mind (Markhap) £25

now £20

14. Drapers - your love has gone away / you've got to look up (Gee w/d) £75 now £70

Another great double-sider and a bargain IMHO

15. Luther Ingram - you've got to give love / I can't stop (Ko Ko) £35 £30

Highly rated in some quarters

16. Bobby Byrd - lost in the mood of changes (Smash) £25 now £20

Can't recall last time I heard this out. Still does it for me

17. Festivals - you've got the makings of a lover (Smash) £20

Magnificent mid-tempo IMHO

18. Sam Fletcher - I'd think it over (Tollie w/d) £200 vg++ / Ex. Bit of ringwear on label which is also slightly grubby.

19. Cody Black - too many irons in the fire (D-Town) £75

Thumping Detroit dancer of course and a lovely copy

20. 'Baby Dave' Greenlee - 'bout my baby's love / we need love (Steel City) £70 ON HOLD

A few crossover bits. Not sure of prices for these so do put me right if needs be:

21. Reggie Sadler Review - so long sweet little girl (De-Lite) £25

As x-over goes I rate this ... ... but bear in mind that I know FA about it :thumbsup:

22. Barbara Hall - you brought it on yourself (Innovation II) £30 SOLD

23. Delilah Moore - I'll just walk away (Money) £45 now £40

24. Bloodstone - just wanna get the feel of it (Motown w/d) £35 now £30

25. Leon Haywood - consider the source (Capitol 2584) £60

vg+++ / Ex- now £50

26. Voices of East Harlem - cashing in (Just Sunshine) £30 now £25

One or two more used [but not abused] and previously listed discs added below. Some good deals to be had here and all play great of course; as ever, any problems ... ...

27. Herman Hitson - yes you did (Minit demo) strong vg+ £60

now £50

The odd bit of light crackle maybe but nothing horrendous by any means; bargain and you'll be happy with it!

28. Calvin & the Twilites - bashful boy (Har-Low) Ex+ £60 £50

Giving this old Stafford c/u away

29. Gerri Taylor - empty arms & bitters tears (Constellation) strong vg+ 60 £50

As per H Hitson above

30. Lee Wilson - a lonely boy (USA) £50 £40

wol with biro, vinyl vg++

31. Lenis Guess - for all you've been (DPG) vg++ £35 £30 HOLD

32. Bobby Sheen - something new to do (WB issue) £40 £35

bit of label wear but strong vg+, probably better, overall

33. Bobettes - Mr Johnny Q (Gone) £30

vg+++ / Ex

cheers

Phil
