500 quid in great condition for the demo

the issue is much rarer - add a hundred on top for a mint one if you can find one ?

a very hard record to find in 2010 in great condition without styrene damage etc.

most DJs will have rough copy's of this 45 these days.

Its been such a popular 45 for so long and most of the copy's have been owned and hammered by DJs

deffo about the condition this 45

you get the odd DJ selling them at the end of their playing life

but there is nothing you can do about styrene hiss, and DJs don't seem to take in to account that a record is worn

if it is in demand when negotiating a price

that's my experience with this 45

yes prices have come down for records across the whole spectrum of collecting music

but this were my experiences recently when I was chasing this 45 again

you reckon an Elbie Parker issue is worth more than £500?

I personally don't think either the issue or demo should be more than £300. £350 at a push. Just my opinion!

crap payd 500 for one on ebay that was discribed as new vg+++ that should have sent alarm bells ringing then had to pay customs 125 and realy lable is dirty light back ground noise and looks not to good but plays fine think i lost out on this one

I think for a mint one yes you would have to pay 500 quid

people are paying 300 - 400 quid for shagged ones - thats my point with this 45

I agree with pete - I would only be prepared to pay 300 for one personally,

and that is why I aint got one.

If it came from the USA the background noise might just be 40 years of dirt, have you washed it ?

If it has come from the UK the noise is probably needle wear mate.

(it obviously came from abroad cause you stumped up for customs - so have you tried properly cleaning it?

it may not be as bad as it seems ?)

Did you get the 45 postal insured or something - cause you have pay'd full UK VAT on that purchase by the look of it !

I did that once with a Jimmy Ricks, insured it for the full purchase value of the 45 - ended up with the customs on my door

with a bill for 75 quid or something.

It was fooking insured through my credit card anyway !

I have never insured a 45 like that since !

It took the fun out of that bargain !

have cleand it and it looks a lot better the bloke insured it so ithink thats why i had to pay customs have calmd down now was a bit mad
