Hi,

I know this is a soul site but there are loads of people on here into the jazzier side of thing so...I've got a 12" jazz dance track by the Highsteppers which i've had since about 1990-ish, its a white label and on one side it just says 'Highsteppers' 'Made in England' There is no title for the track, its possibly called 'Joy of understanding' and is pretty much full on mad dancefloor jazz with a great female vocal - anybody have any idea about this as i can't find any info re. value / rarity etc?

It came out in 1998 on a cd called get up -Jazz steppers on Passion Jazz.Best track on cd was Jazz Stepping which sounds like the track you have mentioned.Never knew it came out on vinyl but i`m always suspicious of white labels if they were promos or vinyl carvers.If you got a record co stamp or phone no it should be legit.
