This teeters on the edge of cool and OMG, but I`m sure you`ll dig were I was coming from. Songs re-imagined as Northern soul floor fillers, all for yer pleasure!

featuring the soulful sounds of

UB40, TheClash, Pulp and Bob Marley aligned with well known Northern Soul songs... curious?

Well that was very different and you're very brave posting it on here. I love The Clash over The Gallop. Problem for me was some of the vocals were getting lost, God knows I am no expert but would it have been possible to save the entire mix into mono? Anyway, nice to hear something very different...wish I could do it.

Alroit Pete.

(yes, I`m from the midlands)

Thanks pal, yeah I acknowledge that the vocals wan`t very clear in some bits ..

I only used accapellas on the three of the tracks, so the rest was a battle between letting the goodness of the northern soul to get through whilst not overpowering the song layered on top, which has had a lot of sculpting in the frequency department - cutoff the in the lows, increasing the mids, and trying not to make it too harsh. (Bringing in the vocals up in some songs would have resulted in distortion) I can do a mono mix .. ( I work in a studio for a living) ... in fact, I should`ve really done that!! Doh!!! lol

Thank you for the feedback pal! Glad you enjoyed it. Still a little embarrassed with the end song though!
