Apologies if this has been covered before[i believe there was a thread concerning this but i couldnt locate it i`m afraid] but can anyone confirm if this has been reissued on 45 recently....i know there are two different pressings of this track[different mixes with and without strings i believe] but i was under the impression that they were both from way back in the sands of time........i saw it mentioned on a thread recently that it was believed to have been repressed.................Any ideas or anyone know for sure ?

Thanks in advance,

Ivor

Cant remember exact details, but the press with 'Dish A Tune' & Fast & Slow underneath the song title are the slightly later presses (mix?) done by Charles Hunter who was a memeber of the backing band. The presses without this are the original Shiptown first release. Both are desirable with the original Shiptown release being the rarer.

I have heard that within the last couple of years another press has been done from the original stampers of the 'Dish A Tune' vesion. They look identical, but in the dead wax is the United pressing plant stamp, which indicates these were done recently.........this is from memory, so please can someone confirm. They have been sold as originals.

Hope this helps some Ivor.
