On Wednesday 15/01/2009 this title in this format was the very first British rare-soul 45 to break the £1000 barrier; achieving a final price on raresoulman-auction of £1090. It was of course a flawless MINT copy.

Before you today is the chance perhaps, to own this iconic piece for a fraction of that - because of lesser condition.

Exact condition is; both labels are flaw free. Vinyl has light surface marks plays vg+. Tiny/miniscule round "heat" mark on the a-side vinyl 1/2 way through NOT affecting play. It has, we suspect, had light surface restoration to make it appear visually excellent. Soundfile has been lifted directly from this disc - you will hear it plays clean and true. Yes, we consider this an opportunity to spin a Red & White legend on the decks, make the chin-stroking turntable-police drool with envy - and pay a fraction of that UKrecord breaking price of near 3 years back.

Let's get serious - one of THE rarest of all the girl-vocal Northern Soul 45s ever made. This is the genuine authentic original which carries the impressive flip "I Love It". Topside came to light when back in 1975 "Record Haven" bought a load from New York and 4 copies were in it. Since those Northern Soul days of yore I personally have only ever sold a couple of copies from those initial 4, and i only know of one, scratchy "rogue" copy to come up for sale on the net. Before you today is one of the original 4 found that we luckily acquired. The trick we've all missed is the B-side (that is missing off the bootleg) is dead-right for the funkier sound on "now" Two highly desirable sides - one seriously rare disc.

So ridiculously limited, Rip Lay of Concord, California promo'd this "from the vaults" recording, as an allegedly tiny 50 only press in 1977. We have no reason to suspect that is not true, as it has firmly stood the test of time as being excruciatingly RARE! The green see-through vinyl emits one outrageously potent slab of Northern Soul from a man with the vocal that only "the King" could compare to.
