I've just been doing some research on a King project for Ace, and I came across a tape for this amazing single, which is listed in discographies as Deluxe 142. What I haven't been able to do is find a copy of the record, the only mentions that it gets on the internet appear to be in discographies.

Does anyone have this, or know anything about the singer or group?

they had an LP as the messengers incorporated. They are from oklahoma (OKC). This gives the lineup:

Ah so its the same Messengers. Gerald released a track on Midwest Funk. I'll check with him or Dante as to whether they've seen a copy of the Deluxe single.
